Really bad experience; Smoktech Cartos

I'm currently using the smoktech tank with the LR dual coil cartos, bought 2 tanks with total 6 cartos. i've had 3 cartos tossed away after i could not get rid of the burning plastic taste. the 1st 2 cartos worked very well and there were no hint of burning. what's going on with the cartos?

i've tried dry sucking to pull the juice into the carto, filling directly into the carto, whatever. just a case of bad batch of cartos, or this resonates with many other users as well?

Make sure your filling your cartos till they look slushy before you put them in your tank. Also if they are not wicking enough try punching a second hole. See if that helps/ What device are you using them on and what voltage-that can also affect how they work. Personally the low and standard cartos burn to hot for me so I swictched to the 2.0 dual cartos for a cooler vape.

i worry that what you mentioned might not be the cause. i can always compensate for the wicking by dry sucking.

using them on a lavatube, rarely more than 3.7v. i think i'm swearing off smoktech cartos man.

I have started using Kanger XL cartos in my Smoktech tank. The DCs just don't do it for me, even the LR.

I ran into the same problem using the LR standard cartos on my lavatube. Hopefully someone else will offer some more suggestions.

In a nut shell I don't like DCC's or DCT's. They are more trouble than they are worth. Also why in the world would someone want LR on a VV!?!
A single coil 510D carto (Boge) in a 3ml carto tank just works to well to even fool around with all that other stuff.

I bought the smoktech emdcc's. Not impressed...airy draw...crappy flavor..low vapor.

i would go on and experiment with all other cartos that fit the tank if not for my country's strict ruling on vaping.

I have never had good results with the prepunched cartos, even with a 80/20 juice. The hole just isn't big enough. I went to the hardware store and got a saddle valve that punches a bigger hole. Prefilling the carto is a must. When I am changing my cartos I do two, fill them with a syringe (until the top is slushy), put the condoms back on one and store it away in my tackle box, put one in the tank. Then when you need to change it you have another ready to go. I never get "dry" hits. I use anywhere from 1.5 to 2.5 dual and single coils on my VV from 3.7V to 5v without any problems.
