I am using a Smoktech 3 Ohm single coil pre-punched carto between 4.8-5.2 volts.
I primed the carto well, using an 80/20 juice that I am very familiar with.
On the first day the carto had a strange metallic taste coming through, but after an hour or so, all the rich flavors of the juice started to shine. That didn't last long, and now the metallic taste is back again...
It's making great vapor, and no burnt taste, and still has a fairly open draw, so I am pretty confident I don't have any burning or flooding issues. No gurgling or anything like that.
Using the same lavatube, same drip tip (anodized aluminum) I can vape using any of my clearos and the juice is fantastic. So th eonly other part of the equation is the carto. Anyone ever heard of Smoktech cartos having a metallic strange taste while vaping?
I mean, it's almost unbearable... It tastes like I am vaping with a penny in my mouth or something?
This is my only carto for now, have 25 Boges in the mail (Man, I hope I get good ones... LoL)... Any suggestions on what I can try to get rid of this funky flavor? Any effective cleaning methods?
Or should I just toss the thing and wait for the Boges to get here? I have heard good things about Smoktech, so I have a feeling this is either a fluke, or easily remedied.
