I LOVE V4L! I have gotten several packages from them with no problems at customs. I am thinking you should be OK. HC has banned the sale/import of e-liquids that contain nicotine (including prefilled cartridges and cartomizers). Vendors outside of Canada that ship here generally do so because they have great success at the border. If every second package they sent got turned back, they would stop shipping here (like some have).

Ecigs hardware and empty carts/cartos/attys aren't banned, E liquids containing nicotine *importation* is banned , as far as i know as long as you get your liquids in Canada there's no problem , Health Canada is trying to close down some of the vendors selling but they have no legal powers as of yet i think. Don't take my word for it tho. I personally didn't encounter any problems and i got some juice sent from both USA and Canada, the only reason I don't order in the USA more often is because of the delivery times.

Hope this helps

now that you have 6 posts you should join the Canada section of the forum and snoop around!

Are e-cigs/juices/carts really banned in Canada? I ask because I just started vaping and I got my first package just fine. I am waiting for another package right now and I just hope the first time wasn't a fluke.

Will customs hold my package if they look through it well this time?

I get my supply from V4L and I live in Van, BC.

I'm not sure "banned" is the word. Ecigs have not been given approval for the Canadian market. While many products have a similar or same profile - our health authority has instructed customs to hold as much as possible - regardless of the actual laws governing the individual parts.

Most things make it through - but not all. If you have ordered parts - and they get held - you can appeal that directly with Customs - and often get your items.

If you ordered liquid and it gets held - there is little you can do about it as Customs will claim that it is a schedule F drug (which it isn't but you'd have to go to court to fight that).

Well I don't drip so I don't buy juice. I hope my carts get through though! It's so nerve racking. I'm on my last cart and I'm scared I might have to buy a pack of analogues to get through until they get here...

Hope you saved some of your old cartos, you could refill them to get you through till your new order comes. there are some vendors close to you that could probably get a package sent out to you today and hopefully arrive tomorrow, would be better than having to buy a pack of stinkies :)

Pre-filled carts will tend to get a bit expensive after a while compared to buying a 30ML of juice and refilling your cartridges yourself. There are so many different methods of re-using those empty cartridges once the filler material begins to deteriorate, Lipton pyramid tea bags, fluval, blue foam, etc. all of these are so cheap to buy and one package will generally be enough to fill a good 50+ cartridges, just take an hour and refill a whole bunch of them and you'll be set for a while.
