Ok I have been vaping since 3-24-14 and ghought I was doing really good but either I am not doing something right or this is just not for me. I have a mvp itaste 2.0 and most of my juices are 50/50 ratio a few 60/40 and I have the pyrex aero 2 tanks (probley 8 that a friend gave me) single coils and a lot of my juices are mt baker with extra ....s of flavor and a local shop since I am disables mom with a daughter whose meds for her are very epensive I have to go the cheapest route possible and wanted to get off analogs for her. My problem is I am just not getting this mvp I don't think I am using it right I don't get the good taste on any settings it all is really not thrr for me. I turn up voltage and then turn it down and same for wattage. Nothing seems to help. Can someone that uses mbv and uses mvp help me out. I mean I don't want to go back but don't have the resources to keep buying different things. I mean if I have to get a better tank do I need several coils for diffent juices and how do I change them out cause I don't lime to use the same one all day that is the reason a friend gave me several tanks so I wouldn't have to buy a lot of expensive things. I just want to do this right and I have heard if dripping but no way I can afford all that. So if anybody out there can point me in the right direction I would be most greatful. I am gonna try and get a ride to the local shop today but I really don't know what to ask when I go in and do t want to look dumb or private message me if you have any suggestions. Thank you in advance

I don't own an MVP 2.0 (mine is in the mail), but I do own a pyrex aero 2. It is, in my opinion, the worst tank I have ever purchased.
I have Protanks, Mini Protanks, Vivi Novas, RDAs, one of the iClear30s, T3s tanks... Some of those tanks I don't care for, some I love and use everyday. The pyrex aero 2 is in a class of dislike all it's own, for me...I just hate the thing. It leaks...I don't get good flavor, I don't get good vapor.
My go to tank is the MT3s. They're 6 or 7 bucks and I've found five packs for around $20. They don't leak, flavor is good, vapor production is better than anything else I own.
Not sure if the tank is what's causing your problem, but that's my two cents.
Best of luck to you!

Well, the MVP works in either watts or volts independent of one another. If you are in variable voltage mode, wattage is disabled. Same is true for wattage. For Aerotanks with a 2 ohm coil, I would recommend starting at 4 volts, and work from there. I wouldn't venture much over 4.5 volts or so.

Hopefully your B&M can show you how to change coils and show you how to make changes to voltage on your MVP. Feel free to ask, and don't be ashamed or shy about it. If they are a good shop, they will be more than happy to help you. Good luck, and welcome to ECF!

I have an itaste mvp but not sure if it's a 2. I keep my vv on 6.0 the vw I move from 3.3 to 3.7 most of the time I settle on 3.6. For some reason some days I just can't get the taste right on it and will end up using my vw smoke battery and the taste almost always gets better. The tanks I use are protank2 and aspire bdc. When I just can't get the taste right I switch to menthol a day or 2 and go back. I think in my case I'm just getting burned out on the same old flavors but I can't find other flavors I like.

I use almost exclusively MBV Juice since I found it. I also do extra flavor shots. I also use the MVP. I am using a protank 2 ( I have a few). I've found that having clean coils and wick are key to good flavor with any juice. I'm not sure how to clean your particular tanks or coils, but there should be info on here or youtube for how to do it. I rinse the tank and wicks every 4-5 tankfuls. I'm not sure if its particular to the type of tank, but I notice that when I refill the protanks, I need to reduce the wattage to 6-7for the first few pulls, then I move it to 10-11 otherwise it tastes a little burnt (if I just leave it at 10-11). Try different VG/PG ratios perhaps. also If you check the bottom of the screen on the flavors there is a "shade rating," which kinda gives you an idea how quick your wick and coils will get gunked up. they explain it in more detail, if you click the more info link.
hope that's of some help. I've had really good experiences with MBV and I really enjoy their juice.

I will second the suggestion above of a Kanger MT3 or a Kanger Evod tank. They are about $5 each, simple, easy, reliable, good flavor and vapor. The spare coils can be purchased for $1 to $2 each at shops or online such as here: http://101vape.com/clearomizers-glassomizers/40-kanger-protank-replacement-coils.html#/ohms-2_5

Vaping is a tough transition for some people. It took me 6 weeks to completely switch. Hang in there though as it is so much better and before long you will prefer vaping. Maybe try to make some connections with people in your area? Personally I got three of my co-workers into vaping and I rebuild all their Kanger coils for them. I do it free because I love rebuilding and it feels good knowing they prefer my coils and cotton to the stock coils.

Vaping is a journey. Not everyone likes the same juices or same mechanical gear. It may take some experimentation with different e-liquid (e-liquid vendors and flavors) and different juice delivery devices (tanks: clearomizers & cartotanks) before you find what works for YOU.

I understand you financial situation very well. Just remember that you will always most likely spend less money vaping than you would on smoking. The MVP is a very good, all-around battery device to build your setup around so you are all set from that aspect. I suspect if you try a variety of different juice attachments and a variety of e-liquids would be a better route to go to improve your vaping experience.

Proper Terminology: A Guide to Juice Attachments

I won't offer any more suggestions, as no one can predict what will work best for you. Only you can find that out after trying different juice attachments and different e-liquids, because everyone has their own personal preferences. Visiting a good vape B&M shop is probably the best recommendation I can give you. A good salesman will answer your questions, offer advice to fit into your budget and fit your needs. Don't be afraid of asking a lot of questions. We were all brand new vapers in the beginning and didn't have a clue what we were getting into either.

A good resource for beginner vapers is The Vapers Table.

Also, YouTube is an excellent resource to learn about different vape gear. Just do a YouTube search for whatever device you are interested in and you can find several video reviews/demos on it.

Having several toppers is the easiest way to change flavors, one for each. But they can be cleaned for switching. Take all the way apart, wash all parts under hot running water.

Watch some vids and learn how to dry burn the coils. Or soak them for a few hours in cheap vodka, re-rinse and let dry. Either will help to remove traces of the previous flavor.

Put your MVP2 into either VV or VW mode and do all your experimentation in whatever mode you like. I prefer all my mods in VW, but both get you to the same point, allowing you to control the heat of the coil.

With a clean and full topper, set your MVP2 to a low setting. Vape. Not there? Go up a step or two. (If you chose VW, go up 1/2 watt. If you chose VV, go up maybe 0.2 volts at a time, as 0.1 change may not be noticeable.) Repeat until it starts to taste off, burnt, then back it off the last step.

And MBV needs time to steep. They mix when you order, and the flavor will improve after a week or so.

I agree with much of whats been said already. The mvp is a great bat to learn on and is very unlikely to be the problem. Mbv's steeping time is rather important. I find with single flavors they tend to be more forgiving about steeping but the more complex it is the more steeping helps. As far as different coils for flavors dedicate one tank to one flavor. Don't forget to rinse them every so often. Also if you rinse a coil let it dry first. Trying to get a coil soaked with water to run properly is more annoying then you might think. You briefly mentioned dripping and dismissed it due to expense. I don't recommend people learn about building coils right away because you are already learning so much BUT the expense (if you can afford it up front) is quickly resolved. What you need to rebuild is: Wick material in which I prefer organic cotton. Costs 3 maybe 4 dollars. Kanthal wire costing 7-8 dollars. Finally the dripper itself which can cost a lot but a decent one can be found for 5-20 dollars. So 20-30 dollars gets you started. There are other things you'll want/need to build but you most likely have those laying around like nail clippers or scissors and something small to wrap a coil on. A drill bit is the most common but an eye glass screw driver can work too. The cotton will last for freaking ever and the kanthal can last a long time too (I'm talking months) especially if you are only building to get the basics done and not as a hobby. I think the mvp works best with single coils btw. Also an ego-510 adapter would be a good idea costs 2-5 dollars. The mvp is known to have a connection problem with the firing pin that the adapter easily solves. My point in all that is you can easily spend 20 a month on stock coils so the cost evens out very quickly. That being said rebuilding isn't for every one and if you are not ok tinkering with small parts you might should steer clear. Don't hesitate to ask questions and good luck!
