I apologize in advance for all of these seemingly stupid questions, but I’m really struggling here. I just ordered my Provari this morning and in preparation for its arrival, I’d like to purchase everything I need. I’d also like to purchase a tank and would like some additional opinions on which tank you prefer with the Provari and why. I’d prefer the smaller size tank which I think is 3.5 or 3 ml.

Also, I’m still clueless about which cartomizers to use with the Provari when I don’t have a tank on. I’ve read 1.5, 1.7, 2.0, 2.5 and 3.0, dual coil, single coil and I’m so confused I’m almost ready to just guess:)

Lastly, I’ve never used a tank, nor do I fully understand how they work. What type of Cartomizers do I need for the tank? I think I read somewhere that they need to be “punched”? What is a dual coil tank? If I get one, does that mean I have to use dual coil cartos with it?

Does anyone know where I can find a step-by-step guide to how to use a tank, or perhaps a video?

Lastly, I ordered the black Provari and I’m wondering if anyone knows where I can get a colored tank? Pink, preferably.

Anyone have any experience with these tanks?

I’m sure some of you are rolling your heads at this and for that, I’m sorry. I’m suffering from a major case of information overload. It was so much easier when I settled on the e-power and kGo. I’m starting to think Im not ready for the Provari:(

I have 2-Dual Coil 510 Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml ($10.99) that came in my Ego Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank Kit I got yesterday with a discount for $45 and they work pretty good so far. From what I've read though with the Provari and other VV e cigs they will limit how high you can set the voltage (depending on the ohms) with dual coil cartomizers.

They also sell Dual Coil 510 Chrome Tank Cartomizer, 3.5ml for the same price and they have 5ml versions also..they don't sell them in colors at MV yet they might in the future though..you can probably use other cartomizers with them also and I plan to use CE2's with my tanks...

I'm not a Provari user but, I do have some experience with tanks. There are quite a few choices for tanks. If you want a cheap tank to try out then you can get a Chibi tank:

Carto Tank Mods

It's really cheap and comes with a pre-installed and pre-punched tank. I would go with the 3ohm boge since you can utilize all of the voltages that a Provari can provide.

Some tanks don't handle certain juices that can eventually crack them. So, another good alternative would be a Phiniac tank. Which looks good and is very from THICK Pyrex glass. They're very durable and will handle a lot of abuse:

In regards to what you will need with a tank. You need a cartomizer obviously and something to punch them with. I've switch over from a hammer and nail to a 1.4 inch Saddle Valve that can be bought from any hardware store:

Anderson Metals #59199-04 1 4x1 8 CMP Need Valve

People usually have a problem with DCC with their Provari from what I've heard. You can use any XL carto you want on it like the Smoketech XL LR 1.7 ohm cartos.

Any 510 connection will work with a Provari, although some will work better than others. 1.5-2.5 cisco 306s and boge 2.0 ohm cartos in lil mama tanks are two of my favorites. The hh357 hybrid atty also rocks on it. Lastly, my 2 cents would also include smoktec 2.5 ohm dual coils in xl tanks work amazing. Good luck!

I recommend Boge 3.0 ohm cartomizers and a J-Tank from ElectronicStix dot com. Get them pre-punched unless you want to learn to dremel them or buy a punch tool. The saddle valve punch tool you can buy at Home Depot wears out after 40 or so punches, but should give you enough time to figure out if this is the way you like to vape.

Here's good ol' Phil Busardo's review of the J-Tank, which does a good job of showing how they work.
A PBusardo Review - The J Tank Goes Fishing ElectronicStix com - YouTube

You don't have to use dual coil cartos in your tank, but the cartos have to be the right size for the tank. Smoktech tanks, for instance, are taller than a regular carto, so you need to use XL (slightly longer) cartos with them.

Carto tanks look more complicated than they are; you'll get the hang of it in no time.
