Longhorn by Halo was a good flavor for me when I was making the transition.

At first I was only interested in tobacco flavors. But now I have realized that they can never get that one right. If they ever DID make it right - it would be pitch black and when you opened the bottle a little grim reaper would pop out and take a swipe at you. LOL

New here as well ive been vaping for a few months with a v2 e cig but when I saw an atmos optimus in a gas station I had to try it and fell in love with the vapor production but was quite displeased with the flavors. After trying some different flavors from the mall (tko vapors) I was still unhappy so I did my research tried a few different suppliers and after tasting all my juices I quickly settled on virgin vapors being my main squeeze. I have two ego c twists a vivi tank and a kanger protank on the way as well as a variety of many other flavors all from VV and I cant wait. Anyone else use the kanger protank?

i used to have a kanger t2 with ego batteries...it was my second setup...
the first one i had was an ego C

after that i tried the jo0yetech ecab but i wouldnt recommend it as a heavy vaper because it gets too hot...

then i bought my first VV mod..the lavatube epicstorm...with a vivi nova tank

now i got a AGA-T2 and r3eceived my new VV mod the smoktek SID today because my lavatube was faulty

the vivi nova works great...i prefer my AGA-T2 though bause coils are so cheap to make...but when i'll be out of coils for my vivi i'll make new ones...if you're wanting to use the vivi on a lavatube( at least on mine) i had to do a ring with a stapple so the vivi could get air flow...just write vivi nova + lavatube 4.0 on youtube...i've stumble upon a guy speaking polish(i think)... he showed how to make the ring...doesnt matter if you dont understand him..his steps are pretty clear...all you need is a staple, an pencils ink tube and a lighter...if you have a stapler it can be done with out the lighter...anyway look for it if you dont get airflow....i know there must be an adater of some sort..but a small staple is less expensive

no the lavatube was fine..its just that i bent it in my pocket and the 510 connection was stripped

its because the vivi nova wasnt flush with the ring i think...cuz on my new SID its more flush with the ring and it doesnt look like it can bend

Hello. I'm less than 48 hours into the world of ecigs. A friend gave me two to sample - blu and Fin. Decided to begin the day with a real cig and then move on to the Fin for several hours. Now testing the blu classic tobacco. "Similar taste, though the blu seems to be "stronger" as far as the hit goes. Any recommendations much appreciated. I've had 2 real cigarettes today and find no problem switching over (so far). I do like the taste of tobacco, so for refilling or trying other brands/accessories, that's my preference.

Thanks for being here! Looks like an awesome resource. :)

Congrats for taking the first step, Charlie! I'm pretty new as well and started with the cigalikes - I thought the FIN wasn't bad and found a few others that weren't bad either - but none of them completely got me away from wanting a "real" cigarette - until I tried a little 650mah eGo - and the desire for a "real" cigarette completely left me at the first try. So I certainly agree with others who recommend something a bit more sophisticated - they really will work! Best wishes!!

Welcome and congrats. Many of us started with a cigalike devise, then an ego, then moved on to a tube or box mod/device. I've been smoke free for 5 months after 27 years of lighting up. Couldn't be happier that I found the world of Vape. I now own a Provari, several rba tanks, and just recently started DIY juices. I've totally turned away from the dark side, and have committed my self to the White puffy cloud side. Use the Vape Luke, Use the Vape.

Looks like you've made 2 good choices already, Charlie - taking the first step from analogs and finding this forum early.

It's been a little more than 4 months for me and vaping is better than smoking ever was. It took me a while to find ecf but it's a great resource. You'll find a lot of knowledge and experience here and, from what i see above, much encouragement.

Disposable cigalikes only frustrated me in the first weeks - they never last as long as they say they do, uneven quality, and flavor never quite did it for me. I agree strongly that you'll want to make the switch to a battery/ clearo/ juice setup early. I've seen some starter kits out there for under $ 20 (EVOD kit above?) and you certainly can get a good setup for under $40. If I had it to do over I'd start with a VV, they're only a few dollars more and give a much better experience as you look for juices you like (btw, expect your preferences to change as your taste buds come back to life and you lose the desire to lick the ashtray)

The Kanger Evod kit from Discount Vapers is a great first setup.

If you like the Blu Classic Tobacco flavor (I do, very much), you can come very close to it with Johnson Creek's Red Oak Domestic liquid.

It's a little pricey, but the difference is indistinguishable and Johnson Creek's quality is second to none.

I'll look into the kit. I have heard good things about the Johnson Creek liquids. Still favoring the tobacco flavors...I'll sample others, but I've enjoyed cigars as well as regular cigs. Doing ok here. Same pack of cigarettes on top of the file cabinet as when I first posted...I think I've had 4 in as many days. I have a calendar to keep a better record. Test was running errands over two days an not taking a pack with me - just my "e"...no promLamo. I don't smoke in my new truck anyway...it was nice to just go ahead and vape away as I was on the road.

I've already had this weird thing with my "taste buds" being more accute as well as my lungs feeling better in the morning...not realizing how crappy I felt when I got up before :) Will definitely get a kit going now that I hae had this revelation that cigs are replaceable.

Welcome @charlieS - I'm a fellow noob that signed up today after a week of observation. About a year ago I started off with Green Smoke after a doctor looked at me like a freak for my lungs and throat being in the condition they were in due to my smoking. Despite Green Smoke working great for me - it was expensive. Apparently, I have a high consumption rate. My sense of smell and taste returned along with my lungs and throat felt better than they have since I can remember. At this point in time I'm trying to find a good product at a good price point and have started using the eGo-W and juice I ordered from ............ The battery life is awesome and the vapor density is comparable to Green Smoke. I'm not quit sure how long a little bottle (10mL) of juice lasts as I'm on my first one so I can't assess cost effectiveness of the product yet. But so far I'm satisfied. Obviously, I don't know enough to know if I should be satisfied. So, here's to our quest of knowledge!

We'll see together I guess :) So far, I'm very pleased with my switch from cigs. My doctor mentioned, "it's been quite awhile since we did a chest x-ray on you." That was one nudge to either try quitting or find an alternative. Like many, I like smoking...really enjoy it...even cigars, which I never attempt to inhale. I like smoking with coffee, a glass of wine, sip of bourbon...so and alternative to cigarettes was the plan. Why I didn't do this before now??? I could kick myself...really. I'm getting enough spare cash to test a few recommendations from members here...lots of options. Anyway, so far so good. My cigarette intake is less than 10 in the past 5 days - usually one in the morning since I has some I bought before my first e cig. I may give the rest away...really happy with the vapor instead of the smoke. Huge and good difference.
