I yearn to try a VV device even though I just love my Grand. I fear that my gear lust will get the better of me and I might purchase another PV before the VV Grands are available. If I were to make such a terrible decision which device might you suggest, knowing full well that I will scoop up the VV Grand the minute they are released to the masses.

Get a buzz Pro, use it until the VV REOs come out and then sell it for a 20 dollar loss.

I do it all the time, I figure 20 bucks to "rent" a brand new device is well worth it :D

Was thinking about that then I saw the VVPV, also from Notcigs if I am correct. They are just coming out now so not much feedback yet.

I was going through the EXACT same thing today. Now that I have found THE 3.7 mod for me, I am asking if I am missing anything by not trying VV yet

It really depends on how much satisfaction your getting from 3.7V. You can always give it a try and see how you like it. There are cheap alternatives such as the Madvapes VV box mods that cost around 35 bucks. Which will give you a sample of how VV works.

If you find that you are happy with 3.7V then there is really no need to get a VV mod.

Thanks for all the feedback. I love my Reo with a 2.0 ohm 357 when the batteries are hot off the charger at around 4v. I usually get a feel for when the batts are getting low and when I meter them they come out at around 3.7~3.8, so I guess what I really want is something that will regulate for a constant voltage. I am assuming VV provides this constant voltage at whichever voltage you choose.

Do you want the VV or just looking for a higher voltage to try? You can do 5V or 6V with your Grand. Just a thought!

Thought about that but I am paranoid about stacking batteries, thinking I might blow my face off. I guess thats the way most, if not all HV or VV devices operate, right. Seems it will be the same deal with the VV Grand if I am not mistaken, but at least I will feel more comfortable knowing that Rob is behind it.

Guess I should have read your link before responding. Might have to try the 5v battery now. Its says its only 600mah. Anyone have experience with this set-up and care to chime in how they like it? Sounds like I would be getting about half the battery life I currently get with the 18650.

I use those 5v batteries with a 1.8ohm bridgeless atty, and they're fantastic. You have to swap batteries out a few times a day, but when I get my VV, that 5v sweet spot is where it's gonna be dialed in most of the time.
