You may want to wait for New releases to be out for a few weeks and Both Reviews and User Reports to start coming in before deciding on a purchase of that type.
Better to know than to be disappointed and out the cash.

In the mean time there are already several 50-100 watt mods on the Market that are working well.

Here is a decent one. Sigelei has been at it for a while and is getting decent at production/quality.
Vapor Range | Sigelei 50W 50 Watt V2 VR2 Variable Wattage Box Mod - Variable Voltage Your Online Vape Store for Mechanical Mods , Rebuildable Dripper RBA's RDA's , and Juice

Also:
Vapor Range | Pioneer4You IPV2X 60W Variable Wattage Box Mod - Variable Voltage Your Online Vape Store for Mechanical Mods , Rebuildable Dripper RBA's RDA's , and Juice
Excellent Chip SX330, but Not upgradable. should not be a deal breaker for the price.

Best to shop NOW or Wait a few months. Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Everything will going OUT of Stock soon and stay that way for up to 90 days. Happens every year.

Great suggestions guys. Thanks! I agree about waitin for reviews of any "new" product. The price is absolutely right for the smok m65 mini box, but again, it's a new product and I would be a little hesitant to buy it before reading reviews on it.

Thanks again and please keep the suggestions coming!!

I'm on the same boat as you man, looking for a good box mod around $75, and I think I've decided to wait for the iStick 50W. I have the 20W version and I just love it. My current plan is to wait for it to be released, wait a bit more for reviews to come out, and see if the first batch is worth buying or if I should wait it out for the problems to be sorted out in the next batches.

I have also looked a that Smok mod, but reviews are scarce and I don't know what to think of it. Also the iPV Mini looks good, but less powerful than I'd like, and the chip has a few odd bugs from what I've seen.

Thanks for this thread! Looking as well. I do love my istick but as others have said, I'm not the first one to hop on the wagon. I like to see if any bugs get worked out, in this crazy vaping world there always seems to be a verson 2 within a month. I've read some wonky things on the ipv mini as well - there's also a version 2 of that coming out, of course. Right now I'm weighing between getting an ipv2s or waiting on reviews of the istick50. It doesn't help that I'm bad at making decisions  I've been hemming and hawwing over this for like a week now.

IPV Mini works great for me aside from not being all that "Mini".

Their redesigned 50w has the WORST battery door design in the industry imo... they should have just gone all magnet. I can see that thing swinging open 90° and then snapping clean off or bending being bumped or dropped by accident lol.

Other than that... great mod!

It uses a single 18650 battery, get a good one though, something like a Samsung 25r or a Sony VTC4 (or VTC5 if you're lucky enough to get an authentic, I'd recommend sticking to the Samsung to avoid fakes though).

Any bugs or things you dislike about it so far? It looks like a great mod, but I'm afraid of not liking it, can't find many reviews.

As an owner you have to realize it's a mod that is intended to be charged via USB that allows you to change your 18650 when it dies. If you see it as an 18650 mod that you charge the batteries externally you're going to have a bad time because it's a PITA to change the battery.

This works great for me as a former MVP user, but it rubs some users who are used to charging their 18650's externally the wrong way. Beyond that, I can't see any downsides. Currently, USB passthrough is not possible, but an upgrade to 65 watts and allowing USB passthrough is forthcoming according to Smok.

Good insight. The USB battery charging is a plus for me, as I do not have an external charger, and do not intend to get one (although before looking into box mods I was looking into mechs and I was damn near to shelling out $20 for a Nitecore).
If passthrough is in fact to be enabled in the future, another big plus. It's one of my favourite features on my iStick.

This mod is looking better by the minute.
