ok guys just wanna say thank you in advance for anyone who can help me and mods please move to proper section if i posted in the wrong section
keep in mind that i have never rebuilt anything but i learn quick and if i can save money hell why not
about 2 weeks ago i saw a a vapor store that was going out of business...shame i know
since the guy had a massive sale going on i got ahold of a protank 2 authentic for 5$ not bad imo
came with 2 coils
so up until today i had to finally change the first coil i used which was great like night and day compared to an ego cheapy coil but it finally started getting dry hits and gurgle sounds
i was actually gonna throw it away but before i did i decided to check online if it was salvageable i found out i can re build it from what i saw in this youtube video
please please correct me if i am wrong

the lady is using 32 gauge wire now there is ebay seller <i know ill prob get .... for searching on there lol
that is selling 28 awg and free "organic cotton" for around 8$ usd
could be able to use the 28 awg instead of the 32?
i dont have a real deal ohm reader but i do have a mvp 2.0 can this be used to test the ohm once i make my own coil?
now if i can use everything i mentioned how do i prep the cotton? just boil it and let it dry on it's own ?
any info would be great

Bundy, the coils in your link are rather generic. If you're short on cash, don't take the chance that they may not fit.

Just buy the wire, then CVS rolled cotton is around 8$, or Sally's Beauty Supply rayon (Graham Cellucotton) is about 12$ - either one will last FOREVER. Cotton or rayon are both FAR superior to silica.

Coiling is easy, it just takes a little patience.

1: Yes the coils can and are frequently rebuilt
2: It's alot easier to just dryburn and rewick the coil with cotton and not rebuild unnecessarily is the coil is just dirty.

28 gauge is thick for a protank coil head; experienced people have done it; they might take like 10 to 15 watts on a 1 ohm 28 gauge sinle coil;
I'd use 30, 32 or 24 if rebuilding a protank coil especially for the first time; but if you rebuild protank coils, it's time to pick yourself up a simple rda.

Am rda is a very simple thing; many rda's are cheaper than the popular tanks. They are designed for building your coils.

thanks for the info guys i suggested the pre made coils and wicks because i have issues with my hands
the second link i provided they come in 32awg 1.5ohm just wondering if its a good buy rather than buying everything separate
ps my brain can do it but my hands dont cooperate like before :( so even the pre made coils and wicks would be challenging but not like trying to do it myself

issues with your hands is all the more reason to get a dripper;

I use one of these: 30mm magma:

real easy to put in a coil

and one of these: 30mm veritas:

more conducive to single coil

Compared to a tiny protank coil with the grommet that's a pita to put back together, I think it's a nobrainer.

works on a mvp 2.0? i was looking into rda's etc but read the mvp wont fire if the ohms is to low

The mvp won't fire if the ohms are too low, that is correct.

Ohms are a matter of the coil you put;

whatever coil you are putting on your protank, you can perfectly well put on your rda;
your misperception is a common one, and unfortunate for numerous people who would just like to $save$ money.

You can use those same 1.5 ohm premade coils you linked to on ebay.

Get the 1.5 ohm premade coils;
Stick on one an rda;
Use that on your mvp2

sorry for being such a noob ecig helped me quit analogs and that i havent done much research
a simple set up is all i need i dont vape 24/7 because i dont need to anymore
and yes i ask who doesnt like to save money especially for many of us years of analogs became quite pricey
i will continue to do some research
so consider the dripper you suggested or equivalent
make my own coils and check the ohm with my mvp
stay at around 1.5 ohm as the mvp wont fire at low ohm
boil the cotton let it dry and vape away or buy the pre made i linked
that right?

sounds good;

i don't boil my cotton anymore; seems fine as is; depends on the cotton;

update* wowzers i ended up buying those pre made coils from that ebay seller showing up as 1.5 ohm as stated on the ad
ripped apart the coil and replaced it with the coils i got works a treat vaping at 11W on my mvp 2.0 with the 1.5 coil not sure if its my own mind playing tricks but the vapor and flavor is great no burned hits the process is real easy took me longer to finish my 12oz beer than to rebuild 2 coils i had lol it is a bit tricky but since i never rebuilt a coil before it was expected but easy and with 50 coils for 8 bucks cant beat the price
looking into a rda for my next purchase
