I built a semi micro coil with 30 gauge about a 5/6 wrap, coming in at 1.2 ohms, balanced no hotspots. I have not modified the air flow in any way. I just got some juices from RiP Tripper over at VapeTrik and they are burning up in this fresh coil. I have never gone down to 1.2 before.

I am running this build on a k100 mech.

Any advice?

Your coil may be too tight on the wick, and choking it. I have an igo-l at .6ohms on an efest 3.7v 18650, and it performs fine with silica wick. I did drill the air hole out a little bigger, maybe 5/32, i would have to look to be sure. But before i did that it was fine, i just wanted more vapor.

2 mm of silica just doesn't cut it for vaping south of 1.8 ohms. Use cotton for microcoils, it seems like everyone has the best luck with it. I am finding that 4mm (2mm doubled over) is fine down to 1 ohm, but that's not a microcoil anymore. I am still trying to figure out sub-ohm wicking, tripled 2mm silica may be necessary. Good luck.
