Careful where you buy them from, there is a lot of copies out there. I like to look on Vision's website for official retailers

+1. DiscountVapers says theirs are genuine Vision brand Vivi Novas, but they are not listed as an authorized re-seller on the Vision website. So your guess is as good as mine as to whether the ones they sell are the real deal or not.

Here is Vision's list of authorized resellers in the USA: News Details - Vision High Technology

Pbusardo has a nice review on YouTube on cleaning and rebuilding them. Pretty nice though I just got 2 and plan on buying more soon.

pbusardo is the reason why I bought the vivi nova in the first place! lol I love all of his reviews; He's brilliant! I really like how he gets into the more engineering side of the reviews, rather than just giving his own personal views on the product.
Here's the video: A PBusardo Tutorial - Vivi Nova Cleaning & Rebuilding - YouTube

100% unbleached cotton...

I will be using 100% organic cotton balls, will these be as good as unbleached cotton?

In Canada I see them at London Drugs, in the US at Walgreens, although I'm sure they'd be available at almost any drug store. I like the idea of using organic though.

You wouldn't be able to use cotton balls in a vivi nova. You need longer wick-like cotton.

I have successfully used cotton cheesecloth in the Vivi Nova. It wicks exceptionally well (much better than the stock silica, for sure), and after about a six-puff breakin, it becomes almost transparent to the flavor ... no "cotton-y" taste. Works very well for me, even in the 8ml Monster Vivi Nova, which it sucks dry right to the bottom! And no need for the Tilt-A-Whirl swirl 'til the tank is about half gone ...

Sweet! I'll have to give that a shot.

Kanthol wire and cotton wick on ebay. $5 for 20 yards of 4/0 (1.5mm) pure cotton wick. $9 100' A-1 32guage wire. Both shipped free. Enough for years of rebuilding I would think! Got to agree, those PBusardo Youtube videos are great! Convinced me to pick up my first mod recently (Sigelei Zmax). Not even thinking of analogs anymore! Was so impressed that I bought a second unit 4 days later so I could have one in the house and one in the car (also so I always have a backup). Check out Perry at Varitube.com for a smoking deal!

Hi guys. I need an urgent help. I have tried to rebuild my vivi nova using the 2.4ohms head. I used 2 strands of .2mm silica wick(i think its silica) and a .32 kanthal hoping that it will produce more vapor but it sucks. The stock 2.8 and 1.8ohms of vivi nova produces more vapor than what i built. Also when I tighten the tank on my umax its saying short circuit. Its only working when the tank is a lil loose. Can you help me how to build and produce more vapor and resolved the short circuit issue when tightening the tank? Ty in advance vape masters.

Make sure your positive is not touching the side. The positive being the one between the metal plus and the rubber gasket. If you cut it a bit long it might stick out. I just bend it inwards to where it crosses the metal plug. Also make sure the coil is not touching the body of the atomizer head. If you have trouble making a small coil with the desired Ohms just try 34 guage kanthal. It requires less coil surface for higher ohms.
