I have been vaping for 9 months now and feel my next endever is to start wrapping my own coils. I have been using Evods for about a month now and love them. I was reading some where that somebody wanted to rebuild his Evods heads using ss mesh as his wick which sounds interesting seeing that I have a lot of them already. As a nobe to the world of genesis style coils is this a good place to start? Would ss mesh be all right to use in my Emods and if so what ss mesh and wire would everyone suggest I use? Thank you for any answers.

I have done SS mesh in EVODs. Had to do a bit different than say a Vivi Nova SS mesh build since its a bottom coil. It was easier to do 2 at a time with how small the wick has to be. I did hollow wick, 32 kanthal, 4 to 5 wrap that made 1.5 to 2 ohms. Where I went different was I used the silica from the original wick on top of the mesh to prevent flooding. I had some success making an oval wick to take up the gap, but found it to be temperamental. I tried pinching off one or both ends of the wick, and it still flooded. I went to an AGA-T so I just gave up and bought the replacement heads. I have 3 EVODs and 2 of them still have the SS wicks. When they work they work well.
