Hey guys maybe you can help me out. I have been practicing my coil rebuilding skills for a couple of days, and finally got all my stuff in today to do it. (Ohm reader, 32g nichrome wire, wick)

I was trying to rebuild one to 2.5 ohm this morning as that was what was in the evod tank when I bought it. I wrapped 6 turns in it nice and pretty, put it back together and tested it with the ohm reader and it said it was 1.5 ohms... so I took it back apart, wrapped 8 turns, put it back together...1.5 ohms.

I thought maybe my reader was defective so I too a new 2.5 out of the blister pack and it read 2.56 on it. So I know its not the reader.

Has anyone else had this problem? If I can't get it figured out, will a 1.5 ohm EVOD head be ok with my Kanger batts and itaste Vtr? Any help would be appreciated!

One other thing... would there be a problem wrapping the coils tight together or shoul d there be a little space in between each wrap? Ive seen pics of RBA's where all the coils were wrapped tight touching each other.

maybe you are wrapping it too small..try a large paper clip

Ahh forgot to mention, I'm using a clothing needle with the big plastic round end the I hold parallel to the wick while wrapping. Maybe using a thicker "needle" might help?

Ok. I figered it out. Went to a couple of other threads and took a little bit from all of them. I just made really tight wraps all touching togetherand also a little looser than I was previously wrapping. I had to do about 10 wraps in the end to get to 2.5-2.6 ohms. Thanks to tha couple of people that responded.
