Rebuilding Protank 2 heads using F/T pre-made wicks...WHICH ONE???

Hey guys, newb to rebuilding. I saw a you tube tutorial on rebuilding the protank 2 heads using the fasttech pre-made wicks and wires, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I'm not really interested right now it actually building it myself, eventually yes but not right now. Not knowing what I'm doing, I ordered this sku off of F/T...https://www.fasttech.com/p/1591602

Loaded it into my Protank head, and not getting anything. I have an MVP 2.0 and it's not registering the ohms or anything, so I'm figuring the coils themselves are too loose, also what I ordered is a 4 wick, I believe I need a 1 wick.

Being new to rebuilding, can anyone just tell me what I need to order from F/T? I have 3 protank 2's and about 50 leftover coils. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hope this makes sense

Mike

I did make sure the coil was touching the metal coil base, but I did not put one of the legs through the insulator...not familiar with that, can you explain?

Thanks for the reply!

I would suggest you watch this video from Rip Tripper

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xrvwOf13U-s

He completly re-builds the coil and has good explanation of where the legs need to go. Obviulsy if you are using "pre-built" coils you don't need to create the coil itself.

When you place the coil in the cup you do not want any part of the actual coil touching any part of the cup.

both Wow1420 and myself(protank2) have had good success with these - https://www.fasttech.com/p/1595603
2.2ohm single wick, NR-R-NR wire so the grommet doesn't get burnt , add a single strand of 1mm flavour wick and away you go.
Put a sewing needle through the coil wick and in the cup cut-outs to hold the coil in position while you thread the wires through the grommet and plug. Good luck !

I think this is the one I was using https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007197/1593900-pre-coiled-welded-wires-w-wicks-nr-r-nr-50-pack
I've also used https://www.fasttech.com/p/1591705 and wicked with rayon or organic cotton
