I use a 14 gauge blunt syringe needle to wrap micro coils on.

I do anneal the 30 gauge kanthal before I wrap which takes out some of the springiness and make wrapping a little easier.

TRICK: Leave the needle in the coil until AFTER you lock the legs down. REALLY helps in keeping the coil straight and prevents pulling it too far down into the hole.

I anneal as well, heating with a lighter until glowing. I also tend to always leave my "mold" on the coil until just before wicking.

Birds of a feather, huh?

OMG that is a thing of beauty! I hope to one day make them that nice. Mine look like a hot mess, but they have been working. That one looks like a well machined spring. Very nice!

thank you. hopefully you followed the link, read up and watched the videos i posted. i think it could be greatly helpful. most importantly. don't give up and seek the information you need for success. my favorite way to find what i'm looking for is to google "site:e-cigarette-forum.com whatever it is i'm looking for". gets me pretty good, related, informative hits each time.

good luck in your quest. (ALL)
