So I have been fighting getting my TFV4 to work properly, and decided to strip one of my dead heads for it and attempt to rebuild it... well it worked! Mostly..
So here is a pic of it taken as far apart as I can figure out how to... granted I found out that you dont need to take the outer sleeve off. so dont bother. simply pop the positive pin off the bottom, and pull the rubber insulator out and you can use a dowel or as I did a decently sized bolt to push the old coi from the bottom out through the top.

I built a parallel coil from 26G, and wrapped it 8 times on a 5/32 drill bit. next time I will use a larger bit, more likely my 7/32 bit as my inner hole was WAY smaller than the stock coil. I used to many wraps and ended up with a .88 ohm coil... Oops. definitely a change from the .15 that these were.
Heres my coil wrapped and ready to be dressed in KGD...

From here its just like rebuilding any other vert coil head, wrap the coil in cotton, bend down the outer leads wrap again to insulate them and feed into the head. it actually went together pretty easily especially compared to my fights with my Sub-tank minis coils. I think the size was a definite factor here.
here it is all wrapped and put together. like I said it was a .88 coil, so not quite what I like, but I think next time I will make the inner diameter larger, and use NiChrome for it. this was built with Kanthal. I gotta do something to get the resistance down.

All in all it worked out well for a first attempt. Just needs a little fine tuning and tweaking to get the vape that I want from it.
