Rebuilding the Davide head

For you guys who have rebuilt some of yours, this is more then likely old hat but you who are on the fence...give it a try; its not hard at all. First I looked at the coil that came from the factory and it looked as tho it was possibly 32 gage and so thats what I used. Iused cotton for the wick because I prefered it over silica in my nova's. With the davide, you must remove 4 pieces from the body head to do the job. The metal collar that is located at the end where the coil is gave me fits until I wised up and inserted my tweezers into one of the notches and gave it a good push. On my nova's, sometimes when feeding wire ends no matter how close they were to each other one would hang up at the far end. You will not have any problem with the davide because it is very short and a clear shot. From that point on, you connect the ends the same as the nova's and other types...so you guys that are on the fence, drop off on the DIY side... Now its time for the football game...LOL

Thanks rver...if you have any pics feel free to post...the davide uses pro tank heads so this would apply to pro tank heads also...
