Rebuilding Vivi Nova

So I have been vaping for about 3 months now. I have tried many clearomizers and I have an extra liking for the vivi novas.

I think I am now ready to rebuild/recoil the vivi novas. My question: If I am using 1.5mm silica wick should I use just one strand or two, or even more? I have a 32 awg kanthal wire.

Appreciate any advise.

i find 2 works fine and is not so hard to wrap a coil around - make sure they are long enough to go to the bottom of the tank because it is often necessary to pull on them a little to set the coil exactly in the middle of the wick holder to avoid shorts.

You deff. need to check this thread.It is almost impossible to coil a wick with correct resistance. So just use something like this and it will solve all your problems=) Btw if you can't make the resistance correct your battery can die quickly. I did that twice and not trying to wire it myself anymore.

Thanks...I experimented with 2 piece of wicks. It gave really good draw, vapor and taste. It read 2.2ohms on my multimeter. But after a while of vaping I noticed that the tank gets hot. Even the tip. I was using a mech mod. Then tried it on my itaste, after a while same thing it gets hot, especially the bottom metal part. Even my itaste felt warm. Really can't figure what went wrong...it vapes well though.
