Congratulations. I've been rebuilding coils for years but still use pre-made nr-r-nr wires from fasttech for my few protank heads. Until I figure out how to weld non-resistance wire to resistance wire I will keep doing them this way. I don't use the wires already coiled with wicks because I prefer using cotton and like my wrapped coils better. For my atomizers actually built for rebuilding I just use resistance wire because that's what they are made for.

Well I'm a girl, so, I would be a She-Ra.... but I readily admit that I'm a sucker for convenience :) With the premade coils, I have been taking a little piece of whatever I snip off and using that as a flavor wick. I do have a question for all of you pros, though, something that popped up today after I originated this thread - can a flavor wick be responsible for gurgling/flooding? (Like if it's too thick, or not thick enough.)

I get gurgling and spitting if it's not thick enough and a really tight draw if it's too much.

You go, She-Ra! (We gotta stick together :D) I get gurgling if my original wick isn't thick enough. Then I'll take one of the flavor wicks from a disassembled head and drop it across (rather than completely rewicking) Seems to work pretty well for me. If my cotton is too thick, I can't draw juice well enough - leads to burnt hits.

I ordered a 50 pack from fasttech about a month ago to try out. They shipped it out a month ago and i'm still waiting:(

And i added a cool looking cheep driptip to the order too and am real excited. It's a two piece driptip that is half frosted glass and half SS. I cheack the mailbox everyday and still denada. One day i will receive my prize. One day.

Ok how I gauge how much cotton in a coil. Once I thread it through I give it a little tug back and forth. It should move easily with only the tiniest bit of resistance. It doesn't take long to get a feel for when you have it right. :)
