My husband and I are considering rebuilding our own wicks and coils. What specifications should I be looking for? I don't know if it matters, but we're talking about the Stardust Vision heads. Good links appreciated.

Hi. Sounds like you're talking about the 'Stardust' version that has replaceable heads, like the Vivi Nova heads. If so, here's a thread that has a pretty good tutorial:

There are many variations of the initial tutorial mentioned later in that thread. Most notably, if you don't like making non-resistant wire legs on the coil, some just doubled the resistance wire ends back about 3/4" or so and twisted them tightly to halve the heat at the grommet, where the wire connects.
