I got the urge to build my own coils when a coworkers friend showed up with a Tobh sitting on top of a Dreadnaut. I knew the kid who had it, never really liked him because he was a spoiled rich kid with a douche bag attitude but I didn't know he vaped. At the time I was using low resistance 510 carts on a Megalodon mech. I seen him take a hit off his and blow out a ridiculous amount of vapor. I was intrigued so I put my personal feelings I had for him aside and initiated a conversation. We talked, he puffed and puffed asking what I had. I showed him and he laughed offering to let me take a hit off his. The flavor was like nothing I ever experienced and the vapor had heat I was never able to achieve. I also found out this tool bag was starting a vape shop, he offered to teach me about it but I pretended not to be interested because I really f****** hate this guy. Went home and started looking up what was available. Found out that these new mods worked the same as my Megalodon so I considered just buying a rda to put on top of that...then I seen most RDA's were bigger than a 510 cart. So I purchased a pegasus, RDA and high amp 18650s, the rest is history.

I would like rebuulders to tell their story of how they got into building. In hopes of encouraging non builders to get started in building.

So i will start.

Back then I was vaping on a sub Tank Nano, and I was sick and tired of inconsistent coils.

Some coils were perfect but about 80% of the coils either popped and spit Juice in my mouth or Dry hits and burned cotton.

I watched Rip Trippers video about rebuilding the OCC heads.

That video made rebuilding stupid simple.

I finally received consistent where 95% of the rebuilt coils were perfect.

6-9 months later i wanted more airflow and starting building RDAs but i hated dripping.

I saw a review of tge Goblin Mini RTA abd i fellbin LOVE with Vaping all over again.

the GMini gave me flavors just as good as my beloved Freakshow Mini and I no longer needed to drip.

If you are willing to share your rebuilding journey please do so.

i think i started rebuilding the kanger reg coil twice,, about a month after i started vaping,,, it wasn't until somebody here/youtube mentioned the rba,, that was 'right there in the box'... that i jumped over to building that.. so i figure another month went by when i officially started rebuilding. then i just watched lots of videos,, read lots of boards about making coils.. keeping it simple. i keep 1 premade coil in my car,, and all of the supplies to rebuild a SubTank Mini/any atty in the car too. (that is also where 1 of my STM's lives just incase i break an atty.)

I am going to start building coils as well. I am currently using the target mini with the guardian tank, and I have been getting bad batches of ceramic coils. They are never consistent. I have decided on the innokin axiom with a single coil build at 1-1.4ohm. I like to vape at 9.7-13.7W. Only thing I am not 100% on is getting clapton wire or just regular SS wire. I really dig SS after all the research and reviews I have read. I am pumped!

You can buy Clapton wire already wrapped so you wrap it likeca normal coil.

I have seen two brands of Clapton wire on eBay. One us UD. ( Maker of the Goblin Mini RTA), and Geek Vape. I would recommend Geek Vape wire. Seveeal tried UD and not happy with it.

Stainless Steel is said to provide tge best flavor.

A friend Dave got the the Clapton wire and he said the flavor was notvas good as tge Kanthal he used. I think hebonly made coils out of it 2-3 times.
