Okay, so I've been reading and watching a lot of stuff regarding rebuilding coils for my EVOD. I guess the question is applicable to any coil building, as the process of wrapping a coil and inserting a wick is pretty universal as I understand it.
Most of the people that post tutorials involve wrapping the coil directly around the wick. They say it can be slightly difficult because the lack of rigidity in the wick itself. I've also seen people that were building stainless wicks and dripping atomizers wrap the coil around a drill bit of the same diameter as the wick, inserting the coil into the atomizer, then inserting the cotton (or whatever wicking material).
I was planning on using a 2mm silica wick on my rebuild, and I should plausibly be able to wrap the coil around a 2mm drill bit and thread the wick through it, right?
This may seem like a dummy question, but I wanna make sure that I get the right coil spacing and size, thus reducing the trial-and-error phase. It just seems that it'd be bit of pain to get the right spacing, size and tension around a flaccid wick.
