Rebuilt Atomizers Making Me Nauseated

I bought some Kanthal D 36 Gauge wire and some silica wick, I wired up about 20 Vivi Nova heads, of the only three I have tested, all of them have made me sick to my stomach after about 5 drags. I also noticed they were a lot hotter than normal I was wondering if the rubber gaskets were burning making me feel bad. Still not sure what's going on.

any thought on what would make some feel sick?

Does anyone think the grade A Kanthal would be a big difference? Or should I switch to Nichrome wire?

What kind of wire is in the original Vivi Nova heads? The ones out of the package cause me no problems at all.

What mg juice are you on? And follow my tutorial to ensure there is no rubber gasket burning going on. When u rebuild and use for the first time, nic delivery is greater than a unmodified setup. U might be getting nicd out if your nic is too high

That's very ineresting. I am using 18 MG. I watched at least 10 videos before I tried it myself. I was Courious that no one used any non conduct wire. I will check out your tutorial. Thanks for the info on the nic overload, that never occurred to me.

If the nausea is related to a bad taste, it may be the silica. I got some thin silica wick which sucks, it wicks great, but the aftertaste is nauseating. I went to cotton cheesecloth, new ballgame. I also use the Kanthal a1 33G, or Nichrome 32g. Works great every time. I find that the cotton wick does not last as long, but rebuilding these things is so easy I do't care.

I found that when I started using rebuildables that the nic overload will happen as the rebuildabl stuff just works that much better. For the first time in 3 years I am about to reduce my nic level because of it.

Thanks for all the advice. I tried another one of my homemade a today, uggg... It was so nasty. I am going to swap out some materials and see what happens. I will post back in a week or so.

Have you tried heating the wire up before rebuilding? There may be machine oil or something similar on it causing you problems..
