I guess I can only post here for now

So I got an Aspire Nautilus which I LOVE! It is, by far, the best tank I have ever owned. The only glaring problem that I've had is a high rate of failure with the coils. I tried different shops, both 1.8 and 1.6 ohm coils, different voltage and wattage, different airhole settings, priming, etc. It's definitely the coils. Some of the coils seem to produce dry hits every other vape and others give an off taste. Others wouldn't give me full flavor at all.

I looked around and came across RiP Trippers nautilus rebuild video and gave it a go. It has worked GREAT! While I haven't noticed a significant change in vapor production, I have noticed a huge difference in flavor. With cotton, I'm getting full flavor ever vape on every setting.

Nice one.

One of the things that put me off buying a Nautilus was the coil which I was told cannot be rebuilt. Yet as with most coils, there is almost always a way.

I found a video on yuku, (a Chinese video sharing site), with this guy building a Nautilus coil. Not the best of videos by a long shot. There were no instructions, just some guy building a coil with some funky music going on. But really, looked so easy, just like a Protank coil. I figure an hour or so of experimenting and I'll be there. So maybe a Nautilus is my next tank...

I've been looking at doing the same on my Naut tank. I'm going to buy some kanthal this afternoon and give it a shot. I'm content with the vapour I'm getting out of the naut, it's more flavour what I'm looking for. In terms of cotton any type will work or is a certain one recommended? Im guessing it can be purchased at any pharmacy.

I'm fixing to try to rebuild one probably this weekend. How long has the rebuild lasted? I seen another YouTube video where the guy said the rubber boot could POSSIBLY melt by doing it Rips way because he didn't use nr-r-nr wire so just curious what you have seen so far.

I've always heard organic cotton. I'm not convinced it makes a difference but it's only a dollar more.
