Rebuilt Phoenix coil tonight

I rebuilt a Pheonix BC tonight with 32 awg nichrome. Ohms = 1.7
Awesome!

The only issue I had to address is getting the nichrome through the holes in the ceramic cup. I think these holes are plugged with a type of sealant, no way the wire is going through. Alternately, I put one end of the nichrome through the middle hole and the other through one of the 4 side air holes.

The Pheonix is just about as easy as rebuilding the Nova.

Way to go. Messed with making coils back when I tried my hand at a genisis atty. Not the easiest thing working with nicrome.

Interesting. Is there a benefit to this? Wouldn't there be some burning involved?

Hi Tom, that is great new's, I am glad to here that it can be done. I have not ever rewicked an atty or carto, but I really am interested in learning how. I have seen a lot of videos' on rebuilding atty's but have not seen it done to a phoenix yet. Is there any way you could show us how you did it? Pictures or a vidieo? Would love to learn how to do this. Either way I am happy for you,must be nice when you do something like this, knowing it will save you money in the long run. Barbara

Going to try this too... I already recoiled my nova v1 so will be nice to be able to do the phoenix as well.. Thanks for posting the tutorial..

I will do this again for the Vivi and Phoenix using 100% cotton yarn. Apparently it is much better and safer than the silica.

Maybe that is all the Vivi needs ... proper wicking material.
