I've never had much luck with 10440's. They seem underpowered to me for even a standard 510 atty, let alone LR anything and an eGo will perform better IMO. To be fair they work OK with higher resistance atty's or carto's like standard 801 or 901 atties or CE2's. The IMR 10440 batteries you can get now might be a bit better but I've not tried them. I'd go for a 16340 or 14500 sized mod if possible. I have a Mako Minno which is tiny and uses a 15270 (3.7v CR2) battery, which are a bit better than 10440's and work OK with a standard 510 or 2 ohm carto. But I get better performance from the Mako in 14500 configuration.

Here's a pic of it anyway

P-10 is super nice but if you make a 10440 device your main vape you might as well quit vaping right now. Not trying to be an idiot but I owned 2 devices that take 10440 batteries and they are just the worst batteries I ever used in my life. I get hardly an hour of high quality vape before I need to change the batteries.

If you need/want a 10440 device for special occasions then yes they are great and I love the P-10 but for a main device it's probably one of the worst choices you could make.

IMO

The standard 10440's start at a higher voltage than the ego batteries. But the voltage drops quickly under load since you will most likely be trying to pull more current than the battery is designed for. Same thing happens with using LR atties and cartos on the bigger 14500.

Super T manufacturing has high drain 10440's that may work better. Super T Manufacturing, Innovative manufacturer of electronic cigarette products.

I haven't used them, but I have some of the high drain AW 14500's that work well.

Deep in the old days of the modder's forum, there were a lot of 10440 mods using small AAA flashlights and things like that. Madvapes should have everything you need to make one of those, if you are interested.

A 10440 will ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS have more voltage then a ego. Ego is regulated 3.2 V and a 10440 starts at 4.2 and drops to 3.7 pretty fast, then will keep that voltage for the majority of its life. The batteries may not last long, but the overall vape will be better.

Remember the 4.2-3.7v is the voltage unloaded (open circuit). With an atomizer to drive it'll drop further. I'll see if I can do a test under load with some Joye 360mah 10440's I've got and see what I get. A standard 510 atty (2.2 ohms) will likely draw upwards of 1.5 amps from it (more than 4C) so it's quite highly stressed.

The IMR 10440 batteries should be a bit better in that respect as they should be OK operating at 4C, but like I said I haven't tried them.

Tried a Joye 510 atty with a freshly charged 360mah 10440 measured under load. It was in a box mod with the voltage taken at the battery terminals. Voltage unloaded - 4.18v. Voltage loaded - 3.5v dropping to 3.3v after a few seconds. It's not a new battery but it's not one that's been used that much either. Bearing in mind this was freshly charged, as it depletes that voltage under load will probably drop a lot further.
