Ive been wanting a "wood pipe" since I started vaping and my significant other ordered one for me and to our surprise, we received TWO kits even though they only charged us for the ONE we ordered. Not sure if this is a score or a karma test lol.

Anyway, Ive only been vaping for a couple months and I am used to using clearos such as iClear's and Aerotanks with no experience with cartomizers.

I charged the battery (this pipe requires 16340 cells, NOT 18mm cells like it says on the website) and put a little juice in the carto. I tried to vape it and it is very light vapor production... Not hitting nearly as well as my VW devices so I put the carto on my VTR to check the ohms and it is a 3 ohm coil.

1. Since this pipe is obviously not variable, I am realizing that I need some lower resistance coils. Like maybe 2.0 ohm ones? Will my 16340 cells safely "push" a 2 ohm carto?

2. Also, the carto tank that came with the pipe seems a lil... lets say cheap. Can anyone recommend a replacement that is known to fit tightly with the mouthpiece tip that comes with this kit? It would be great if it was the same diameter as the stock tank so that it looks good as well.

Thanks!

Captain,

I cannot find specs for 14350's. How many Volts & mAh? I'm vaping a Nautilus with a 1.6 ohm resistance on a very similar setup right now but mine uses a (900 mAh) 18350. It produces beautiful steam and flavor. On the mouthpiece issue, I think that if you add a tank that uses a standard drip tip with a male tenon (that's redundant <g>) you will need a different kind of mouthpiece. Check the walkerbriar.com site and browse for them; they're quite easy to find, there's a bunch of styles, colors and lengths and can come (or not) with a standard drip adapter.

The owner, Dave Woolf, is a good pipe smoking buddy from the analog pipe community. Pass my regards please.

I hope this helps.

Jorge.

PS, the 1.6 resistance drains my batteries fast. About the equivalent to 2 analog pipefulls. If you plan on giving it some heavy use, better have some extra batteries and a suitable multiple slot charger.

I've got one of these. It's a nice little pipe, but all the accessories that come with it are cheap junk. I've replaced them all (including the batteries and charger). I routinely use it for 1.5 ohm attys, though I use EFest IMR batteries and good charger, which is much safer than the unprotected ICR batteries that come with it. I'm sure a 2 ohm is fine, though.

The mouthpiece is inherently loose on all normal 510 drip tip openings. You might try buying a new o-ring for it. The best way is to buy a new stem. They're not cheap ($15-30) but a good one will work on any device. Here's some good places to pick one up:
Pipe Stems & Drip tips - Pipe & e-Cig Supplies- Batteries, Atties, Stems, Chargers, etc.
E-Vape Stems
Stems / Highlandvapor.com (cheaper, but I haven't tried them)

Enjoy!
