WOW, looks as if I got lucky finding mine in the classified ads. No order number but I did get a new one...

Has anyone posted a pic of the vent hole unit yet? I really like the way the atomizer looks like it is part of the device especially when you use stainless atty. Very nice touch indeed. Love my P16!!!

Look here at the last post: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...fficial-precise-picture-comment-thread-3.html I have to say I like it without the vent holes better and don't think it would be a big issue since theirs no stacking of battery's. And yes lucky you with no wait.:D All though I know it will be well worth waiting for!

I'm thinking of sending my P16 to David to get it vented. I was thinking of having the holes placed near the atties center post on the body, sense the batteries vents at the positive end and this, I think, will keep the temp down by the center post or at least help vent the warmth from the attie to the battery.

In any case I'm really glad to see you enjoying your P16, the craftsmanship is 2nd to none.

Am I putting my 16340s in with the positive end towards the switch, opposite the atty connector end. The battery's vents are on the positive end so I would think the vent holes on the device would not be very effective on the atty end.

When I put the battery in the other way round I can not get the atty cap to screw all the way on.

What batterybrand are you running Vapn? If anyone is running the Ultrafire/trustfire, some (only some of them, most are fine) of those are 36mm long, all one need do is remove one of the preinstalled O-ings in the bottom of the battery chamber. If you are running the AW, one just need twist the cap a bit more, it'll compress the orings down and they soften up with time too.

Btw, i like the in hand photo above:)

Grim,

The only negative side I can think of moving the vents towards the atomizer post is that it will increase the likelihood of getting more stray eliquid inside the battery case.

No need to worry about the eliquid ....:) The vent holes that I want will be right above the internal threads on the body. This would be about a 1/2 inch up from the attie towards the button, which whould be right at where the contact post is when the cap is on. That should be plenty of clearance.
