Hi Folks,

Just wanted to give fellow e-power users a heads up about the recent 306 atomizers. I ordered 3 in early January 2012 and didn't get around to actually using one until these week (I always have spare atty's, that's why it took a month to actually get around to using the new ones).
First, all of the 306 attys i previously purchased were awesome. Extremely consistent, long life etc etc.

However I believe that madvapes is getting their 306's from a new supplier.

These are the reasons why I believe this to be the case.

1. The atomizers will not screw into my 3 month old e-power replacement switch. They will only screw into the original switch that came with the e-power unit.

2. The atomizers only produce a decent amount of vapor and throat hit on your first couple of drags. After that you get nothing. Also, you have to keep them extremely wet just to get those good few hits. As you can imagine this means going through a lot of juice and a lot of blowing out just to get them to function in a very limited capacity.

3. The drip tip I purchased from madvapes that has worked with every single 306 2.5 ohm atomizer I have bought from them is no longer compatible with the 306's I purchased last month. The drip tip is too wide for these new atty's and they simply will fall right off.

This is the first time I have been disappointed with Madvapes. I did open a ticket with them and let them know my findings, but instead of getting an answer to those questions I received a scripted response. I understand that you guys are busy but it is in your best interests to notify your customers of any changes with a product line. Again let me reiterate that all of the 306 atty's I have ordered from you have been excellent and consistent. A huge deviation from that is occurring with the latest 306 atty's I have ordered from you

Anyone else having issues?

Hi Hoog,

After receiving a response from Paul the ticket now shows as resolved and there is no ticket number anymore. The order number is MV-4412003.

I am a bit more concerned now that you have confirmed no change in your supplier. (thanks for that by the way)

The 306 2.5 ohm are definitely different in size and threading. My old drip dip that I have used for all previous 306 will fall right off if I turn the atty over. And then I had to resort to an old sticky switch just to be able to use them since they would only get about a half turn in on my newer replacement switch (w/ blue light). They are also extremely leaky.

The 306 is my favorite atty for my e-power. I've tried all your boge, bauway, smoke tech 510 2.5 attys and the 306 blows them away, especially in terms of flavor. In the aforementioned order I purchased 3 of these "faulty" 306's and the first one is already dead after 6 days and the second one is not working well for me. It gets plenty hot but the flavor, throat hit and vapor are just not there. I have older "dying" 306's that perform better than these new 306's. Ive been vaping for 3 years and I know how to take care of/use my attys.

Thanks for taking time to reach out and help, I really appreciate it. I also want to apologize for being rude in my correspondence with Paul, but I was pretty upset that what I purchased was not satisfying at all.

I'm hoping that I can find an atty that performs like the old 306's. They usually last me 3-4 weeks of heavy vaping before they taper off. Any suggestions?

Again, thanks for helping.

Ken

I use my 306 atties with Ego batteries and have had the same problems. The 306 has been my primary vape for quite some time. I had bought 15 306 atties from Mad Vapes with just the usual failure rate you just expect from the 306.

Then I ordered 5 more on Oct. 24, 2011. They were exactly as you've described. I really hope this gets taken care of soon. The 2.5 ohm 306 is by far my favorite atty for flavor.

I would really, really appreciate it if someone could let me know when it's safe to buy them again.

306's... You're gaining a little experience. 306's vary even occasionally from the same manufacturer. If you look through 306 drip tips at other vendors, you will often find a little disclaimer on them that says something like, "This Drip Tip Fits the 306's we sell right now and may not fit others". Or like at avid, they say something like "these fit our Cisco spec 306's and may or may not fit others".

If you're going to vape 306's a lot, I suggest you gather a collection of 306 drip tips. I have a couple of yellow ones from madvapes, a couple of the regular length black delrin ones from electronicstix, a couple of XL ones from avid, a couple of cherry vapes canons, and some various other ones picked up on whims with other orders from all over the place. It has been a long time since I found a 306 I didn't have a tip for.

Quite true, six. But, I'm used to that. I'm also used to what I called "the usual failure rate you just expect from the 306" which in my experience is quite high.

But, the 306 is worth all that.

However, this last batch was unusable. Between the phase when it was over-full and leaking and the phase where it was hot and burning, these was one (sometimes two puffs) that were ok. That's it.

Other than the DOA that I threw away, I gave them away (with a warning). My brother doesn't believe me about them. So, I'm sending them to him. If he thinks they're not so bad, then he can have them. :p
