That a pretty good charge chip on the board. Default is 200mA so it would have been slow ego chargers are 420mA so it would take twice as long to charge. It is settable up to 1amp charge rate by adding a resistor. With a bit of math and the data sheet 420mA would be possible . But since he has made a PT i guess it is no big deal. As long as the polarity was wired right it shouldn't have blown up

Ya. The whole thread sounded like a real bad day.

I didn't think he was actually charging the thing at 2 amps, only using it as a PT for some reason (his only power supply?). IDK. He would have used the PCB to charge his eGo, probably at 420ma. He didn't know the polarity tho. Or the amps. Or if it would work. Or if there is anything proprietary about eGo charging.... or ...or ...or.... They did post the amps at .420

So, I posted this here since his count was low. lol. Now, let's hope he at least has a working PT. 7 hour drive, no charger, maybe a PT, no spares, .....y family, .... some guys have all the luck... because others have none. lol.

See what happens if you don't keep spares people?!?!?!

He posted back yesterday he was kinda vague in his first post. Be he said the charging part of the circuit was @ 485mA which would be ok for a eGo might shorten it's life a little bit but not too much. eGo 420 mA chargers are the same as riva hello 16 and maybe some others. The chargers are made by Belkin you have to take one apart but on the circuit board you will see the Belkin name printed on it.
