Hi All , i currently have the following ingredients for DIY juice.
Nicotine Base 100% VG,
I have PG 99.98% and VG 99.98%
Flavors:
Grape Berry Ice , Strawberry , Kiwi , Cheese Cake , Vanilla Bean Ice Cream

I mixed 10 ml batches last night and it tasted horrible. Firstly i used the e juice me up tool to calculate but i did not select the nicotine base as 100% VG , i selected PG. Could that be the reason why it tasted bad.

Please help me with me recipes as i would not like to waste.

Well, their art differences in the brands of flavors. Everyone makes a strawberry, but they are different from each other. Always good to list them.

Just looking at it, I wonder if the strawberry is to weak. Some fruits are pretty demure..in my experience. The 70/30 does lean to more flavor expression, so that is good.

Many will have different thoughts, but did you let it steep? Shaken well?

What does it taste like to you? That is the test.

No steeping at all ,shaked it a bit. I can smell the flavor from the 10ml mixture i make but when i vape it ........horrible.

As said, large variations in the taste of different makers flavor, even if named the same.

Seems a tad high on the vanilla to me, but taste is very subjective. Maybe another small batch with more strawberry and less vanilla?

Part of the fun / challenge / frustration of diy is getting the flavors right for you, we all like different tastes. My tendency with a new flavor is to make a small batch of JUST that flavor so I can see how I like - or don't - like it. Once I've done that, mixing two known flavorings goes a lot smoother.

So, for example, if I find that 5% strawberry is too blah, and 10% is overpowering, then I can try 7% and add in something else.

Best advice I can give is ti spend a LOT of time reading posts in the DIY sub-forum, found here:

DIY E-Liquid

Get your five posts here in the New Members Forum, then you'll be able to start asking questions in DIY. Hang in there. DIY isn't as easy sometimes as just tossing ingredients into a bottle.

I agree with Larry J above. Spend time on the DIY forum reading posts there. Also, several longtime DIY makers/experts have blogs that you'll find very helpful and informative. Dannyv45 is one. Bill's Magic Vapors (found in the Flavor Apprentice discussions) is another, and there are others.

Also, it's best to first find recipes you want to make, and then buy the flavorings to make them...rather than the other way around. You can end up trashing a bunch of flavorings in the process of trying to make something vapable. Finding recipes first will also help you see that they're usually made of: "primary" flavorings, then others that are like "blenders", and finally accents and/or additives like those that add sweetening, or a hint of sour, or those that smooth out harshness of others, etc. that all help to make a great tasting recipe.

Haven't used those myself, but maybe try the strawberry and the Vanilla bean ice cream together, maybe 5% of each.

Kiwi by itself? 5 - 10 % might be a good starting point.

Easy to add a bit more flavoring if it needs it, harder to remove some!

100% nicotine? way too dangerous for DIY beginner.
Maybe i misunderstood something o.o

Anyway try to mix no nicotine first, later on u can add nicotine.
I really stopped using any calcs etc im doing everything by eye help :D
do something like this for 50 ml of juice
21 ml - VG
23 ml - PG
6 ml total of flavors

I'd say go for 3ml Kiwi and 2ml strawberry 1ml Cheese Cake , should be good.

Yup, mis-read, Jim. His nic is 36 mg/ml.

And the cheesecake is cheesecake crust, graham cracker. Good to add body, but not cheesecake flavor.
True but i thought first all of his flavors are FW, and FWs graham cracker sucks, vanilla bean ice cream is bad too.

Oh yeah btw if u want a really good flavor from FW get urself Banana Foster, this is like one of the best flavors the have. and never buy their melon, their melon is useless, tasteless.
