So I'm pretty happy with my current iTaste SVD, but I need a backup in case it fails. I've currently got a couple eGo-C Twist clones, but I want something with longer battery life and VW. Here's what I'm looking for:

  • Prefer tube mod over box, but will consider box mods
  • VW w/ Ohm meter
  • Can use 18350 or 18650 batteries (preferably both button and flat versions)
  • At least 15W capacity
  • Reliable build quality
  • Stainless finish
  • KFL+ compatible (preferably the same diameter)
  • Cheaper is better, hoping for something under $100
  • Solid look - if it's one complaint I have about the SVD, it's that the telescoping battery tube is wider than the rest of the mod. It looks bad and tends to wiggle back and forth, even when screwed on tightly.
Recommendations appreciated!

Like the others have said the Vamo is probably your best option. I just recently got an SVD, and so far I am loving it! I plan to get an MVP2 for my back-up, and since I really only go up to around 8 watts on my SVD the fact that the MVP only goes to 11 watts shouldn't be an issue for me.

Oh and if you don't like the Vamo you can always just get another SVD :vapor:

Since it is for a back up device and you said that you would consider a Box Mod, I would recommend the MVP 2. It is my go to right now and I carry it everywhere. The battery is good for at least a day & a half, probably longer depending on the Voltage/Watts you have it set at.

It is not large at all and even smaller without the tank, plus you can use it as a backup battery for your phone.

I recommend the Sigelei Zmax V5. I have had mine for 8 months. Very good backup.
