I've been using Vapers Tek Nicotine for awhile since it didn't have a nasty taste I got from Nude Nicotine, but I've noticed the last few batches I've got from them are irritating my bronchial tubes pretty bad (chest pain).

If I switch over to a local vape shops stuff, the problem goes almost away, and at a higher nic level to boot.

So, I was looking at PureNic but wasn't sure if you guys have a better suggestion.

I'm using 100mg/100% VG base an a diluted final mg of 9.

I've bought from Nicotine River, Liquid Nicotine Wholesale and Heartland Vapes in the past. All three have been good for me. I think NR has PureNic, I've never really paid attention.

All three have always shipped very quickly for me and I've had great customer service from Nicotine River and Heartland Vapes when there was a problem with the order.

When ordering from Heartland Vapes, I've just gotten the lower priced freebase and it was fine for me. Didn't bother paying for the more expensive one.

salts are good quality from NR and LNW as well. Never tried salts from Heartland Vapes, I think it's a new offering for them.

You guys know if any of those recommendations have a mellow hit or no hit?
If it's clean and not oxidized, the freebase should be the same, no?

As far as salts go, Nic River sells smooth and 'hit' salts.

Have you ever considered trying nic salts? They work great at lower concentrations as well. Negligible throat hit to me when used at 3mg, 6mg, etc. Just get a 'smooth' formulation.

You can't go wrong with either PurNic (NicSelect) or CNT from Nic River. Never had a bad batch of NicSelect from Liquid Barn either and there shipping is better as well.

Nic salts are all the rage but I would try to stay away from benzoic acid formulations, citric acid is the go. Why use nic salts for low mg (up to 18) when the quality of nicotine base is so good now...

I have found Heartland to be one of the more cost effective, smoother, freebase nics I have tried. I have used it from 18-3mg/mL dilution without any noticeable harshness.

As always; YMMV. Different hardware, coil builds, power/temp settings, and personal perception, can all make a difference. You can find smaller, more sample-appropriate sized bottles here (under the DIY sizes tab).
