recommend for my brother...

I upgrade my cig20 to a joye ego a couple of months ago and gave my brother the cig20. he is interested in vaping but needs something better. He didn't like the flavors (bought "gold" which is their camel knock off) and thought the throat hit was too harsh. He has been using it and smoking too.

He doesn't want anything that draws too much attention while out.

I think that some prefilled sample packs would be good for him to try things out.

I would like to buy him a gift that includes the battery and either some cartomizers or carto and sampler pack. While he likes to tinker with stuff I don't know if he is ready for that.

I was thinking a box mod...but I am not sure.

He is 45 and has smoked for a very long time. He is not rich and needs something without a lot of financial upkeep...

Any ideas?

If he likes 'em to look like cigs, may I sugest SmokeTip. They have a lifetime guarentee on their batteries, and they don't mess around about it. I have gotten 4 replacement batteries in the past for free. They have a lot of flavors. I think like 15 or more now and they are all pretty darn good. They do have several different carto sample packs. You can get any 801 cartos to screw on if he decides to fill his own, and the smoke tip cartos are easily refilled many times. Make sure he does whipe off excess juice on the cartos if he refills as any drip into any auto battery will kill it and this is the one thing SmokeTip won't exchange for.

I no longer use these, as I have gone to a Echo, but if money is tight, they are stone reliable, and with free replacement, quite a good investment in the long run. If you think he would like something bigger, they do have a 300mh battery that still looks like a cig, but lasts 1/2 as long as a Ego type. This how ever does not come in the kit, and could be purchased down the line.

Sorry if this recomendation is not what you are looking for. It was just a thought.

Throat hit is mellow. They put out vapor like a fog machine. I knew when I wrote it it was kind of similar, but some people buy cig looking batteries, and realy disapionted with the brand, but still want the "look" so the aren't vaping an alien spacecraft part in public. It can also help the transition to have the familliar feel and look.

He might like the Volt by smokelessimage. Volt starter kits I really like their XL fat batts, but others really like their skinnies. Check their ecf thread and you'll find even ecf vets like their products. smokelessimageecfthread

Since you have an eGo, look into the Joye 510. The eGo parts, attys, cartos, will work on the 510 as well, unless they're low resistance. And, there's lots of suppliers for them.
