I've tried several cheep ones and a Kanger mini protank 2 but they all seem poor compared to cartos, but cartos have their own issues. So what do you suggest to try and why.

I get a lot of juice in my mouth and it gurgles quite a bit. I've vaped less than 15ml of juice(Virgin Vapor) through it so it shouldn't need maintenance yet should it.
Cartos will virtually always have better taste than clearos.
Clearos will give you better vapor production but they sacrifice some of the flavor in the process.

As I remember it, there were two versions of mini Protank 2. I own neither. mPT v.1 all the way!!
I like the Kanger T3S. Those 2 are my work-day vaping tanks.
At home, anything goes. T3S is $5 in the UK, cheap enough to try out. I like the Innokin clearos but they all drink like fish!!

aspire ET BDC. Great flavor, looks nice on an ego. I was a kanger girl for a long time but aspire's tanks really blow them out of the water with their atomizers. If you're looking for a glass tank, go with the aspire nautilus.

I've never exceeded 10ml without changing the atomizer head. Maybe this is why these tanks never give me trouble.

Ok, I was told they needed to be replaced but also that they should last a month or so...
1 word for ya... EVOD . probably the best thing until you move into RBA's and RDA's. JMO and a ton of others too.

I second this. This is still one of my favorite almost hassle-free tank and they are cheap. These are made of plastic however.
I second this. The aspire line of clearos are the only tanks I/we have had any luck with. All of the kanger/innokin/etc. clearomizers that I have tried like to spit and gurgle and leak on me. I absolutely hated my evod, and after playing off and on with it for 2 weeks, it is my first and only vaping casualty thus far, i.e. I threw it away. My other half uses the mini vivi nova aspire BDCs exclusively. She likes them better than my RDA, and even prefers them over my Russian 91%. She likes to try to keep up with my vapor output, and while the flavor isn't quite there, IMO, she does a very decent job keeping up. My love is RBA/RDAs, her love is the aspire BDCs
Good luck finding something that works for you! Don't be afraid to try different things out, however you can. Finding out what you don't like can be a major step in finding what you do like, and so nothing is ever wasted. It seems that different things work for different people, once they figure out what they want and how to use what they've got. Happy Sunday you guys!

I ordered a fantastic "new" gadget (a long time ago) called a CE5 rebuilable clearomiser. The vendor told me over the phone.... "yes, a month, easy!!
First atomizer head lasted less than 48 hours. Then the next I never finished, as I'd already moved onwards and... um... kind of sideways.
As I said, I've never exceeded 10ml. I vape 2.0ml a day, so that 5 days using only 1 tank. (I have lots in rotation these days)
I used to sport a iClear 30/iClear 30S on my ego. I thought it worked great.

I think that the best for an ego is the Kanger T3S. Hold 2.4ml which is more than other minis and almost as much as a full-size Protank or Iclear. They are also really inexpensive and if you are into it, easy to rebuild yourself. If not, you can get 5 heads from under $6.
ill second this, great clearos. coils can be kinda hit or miss but they are cheap and easy to clean, ive heard of kanger sending duds but i am yet to have one. and once you have a good coil you can clean/dry burn it back to new and it can last for quite a while
I really like the SMOK PBC's. Hold a ****ton of juice and hit just like an evod. only downside is it will make your device look top heavy.
