Hi
I'm looking for recommendations on what ecig to buy. I've been googling but its a mine field so hoping that experienced vapers can help me along.

I tried e cigs about 4 years ago but gave up, I'm hoping that they may have improved now and would like a decent sized tank (that I can see the liquid in) with a decent vape, so guessing that would mean battery power?
Other than that, just a decent reliable one.
Thanks in advance

I don't have much experience with mods at or under 75W except for the Sigelei 75TC, though I'd have no problem personally recommending that one. I've always been impressed with Sigelei products. Battery life is *meh* when running sub-ohm tanks, but carrying around an extra battery or two isn't such a chore. Besides that one, you now have single, double, and even triple 18650 mods to choose from (which are my preference), but you can still get mods with built-in batteries if that's what you desire. I, personally, prefer being able to take out the battery and swap with a freshly charged one, as opposed to having to charge the entire mod and wait for it to finish before using it again.

For tank options, I'd probably go with something that has replaceable coil heads for just a little while until trying to get comfortable rebuilding your own. Several tanks now offer pre-made heads and the option to build a coil on a separate one. The Uwell Crown comes to mind. Again, the options here are limitless and I'm sure others will chime in with good recommendations for new vapers.

Frankly, this hobby has grown leaps and bounds from four years ago. You have so many options now to suit your style of vaping, whatever that may be. This forum is an invaluable tool for researching the different options there are now. Youtube is another great resource. Learn everything you can, even when starting out, so if you happen to get enamored with the hobby - as so many of us have - you'll know how to make responsible and educated decisions and can, in return, help to educate others.

Try a starter kit from
Aspire
Eleaf
Joyetech
Kanger

I recently got myself a joyetech vtc mini kit; it came with a joyetech ego-one tank;
I am really just using the vtc mini with my rda's; it's temperature control capable and firmware upgradeable.

Use IMR or INR batteries.

Hello @jaykay07
The most recommended to new people is probably the iStick 30 watt mod (battery), and the Aspire Nautilus Mini tank.

They are both very user friendly and gives a quality vape. The Nautilus is a mouth to lung tank (like a cig). There are literally dozens of options available.

There are two main choices in picking out a mod (the battery part).
One is to get a mod with an internal battery (like the iStick 30 watt) where you recharge with a usb cable plugged into a wall plug or pc. On most of these you can vape while it charges (but you are tethered to a cable while it does).
The other choice is to get a mod with replaceable batteries (usually 18650 size). When it needs recharged you just swap out the battery and put the old/used one in a separate battery charger (like the Nitecore Intellicharger i2-$15). The plus side is you aren't tethered by a cable, BUT you'll have to spend more money to begin for extra batteries (around $7 each online plus a charger).

The minimum power I would recommend in a mod is 30 watts as it gives you room to grow. If you're a direct lung hitter then you might want to look at the Kanger Subbox kit.

Temp Control (TC) is a big thing nowadays. You use the special coils in a tank (nickel, Tatanium, or Stainless Steel coils) and set the temp limit which keeps you from getting a horrible dry hit. Usually TC units aren't any more expensive and you have the option to use the mods in straight power mode and use the regular kanthal coils.

Good luck in your decisions.

I hear you....
I have 2 suggestions. First is a 30watts or less regulated mod like the Istick or and of the others in this class. Paired with and Aspire Nautilus and the 1.6-8ohm coils.
Second would be, IF you don't mind making your own coils. Get a Kayfun tank for the mod.

Keep it simple and at 1ohm or more. Can always go to the fun and NEW stuff, if you like vaping and do in fact quit smoking.

How much Money do you want to Spend?
Do you want one that takes Separate Batteries? Or one with a Built in Battery?
Is Size a Major Deciding Factor?

They have improved beyond many of our dreams.

Google IS a minefield, you are right. Google is absolutely not your friend in these matters.

The internet isn't what it used to be either, sadly, The scam brands and rip-off merchants run the show these days. Money buys, we pay....

Shops in Cyprus look expensive... ouch. Compare prices to the UK or the USA (cheaper than Europe) to find out the deal. You'll probably have to pay more, but you can try!
