I've been reading a few threads talking about flavor as being different from vapor production, as in : More Vapor doesn't mean More Flavor...
In most polls, people rank flavor as the biggest priority, usually followed by either throat hit or vapor production. Yet almost every review for attys, mods, etc want to talk most about vapor production. Although I loooove letting out a massive fog that fills a room, and video reviews can't convey flavor as well as they can massive clouds of vapor, the idea of flavor seems to get lost.
I feel like I'm particularly effected by flavor, in the sense that I really just don't notice much flavor in any of the juices I've used. I can generally "feel" the sweetness at the back of my throat, a sense of smoothness from things like vanilla, and things like cinnamon/clove/mint/menthol aren't hard to detect... but when people talk about "tons of flavor" or things being really fruity or anything other than what I mentioned above, I just hardly taste it. I've tried swapping flavors, I've tried a lot of different brands... usually the first 3-4 draws I get a really good sense of that flavor, but then it more or less vanishes... and even if I cycle through 3-4 flavors, the original hit of flavor I DO taste never comes back until maybe a day or so away from it. I've been off of cigarettes for a couple months now, and I have noticed my sense of taste has improved with food, so I don't think it's a biological malfunction. I also drink tons of water, so it's not from dehydration. I figure I'm either "immune" to some chemical or aspect used in the flavoring, or I've got my gear set up wrong. I mostly use a vamo with ProTanks, a couple of RDAs and I've tried carto-tanks (which I don't like). the RDAs do alright for flavor, but not a lot better than the ProTank, and the convenience factor is greater than the minor flavor difference.
Are there any recommendations for setups, attys, mods, methods, amount of power used, etc to improve flavor?
