I think it may have something to do with the flavorings ..while I was using menthol , I got the dry red eyes, but the last two days Ive been using a different flavor and don't have a problem..It comes and goes so much I just don't know anymore..
I have noticed blood shot eyes as well. I sit next to a heater that blows air. Even with the central heat on, I am always cold in winter. I notice when I vape with it next to me. BLOOD shot eyes. I have been using a natural eye lube drop from a company called Similasan. I love their computer eye relief ugh I sit at a computer all the time! It's pricey but helps me so much A lot of other eye drops irritate me.
I don't use lenses. but rubbing my eyes is a possibility..I've been closing my eyes tonight to see how they react in a few hrs.
I hope my allergies don't get worse, Im already allergic to lobster, shrimp. uncooked apples, cherries, pears, peaches, blueberries, carrots, sno peas and soymilk.
Those allergies started 4 yrs ago after my 2nd child was born and Im not even sure of all the uncooked food Im allergic to yet. the list keeps growing..
Wow...finally someone with strange allergies like me...I'm also allergic to raw carrots, and soymilk. Although if you cook the carrots i can eat them just fine...what sense does that make...hmmph.
I suffered from dry eyes due to Lasik surgery and vaping seems to have brought it back with a vengence; indeed my mouth and nasal passages are noticably drier since I started vaping (slightly worse with PG mixes, but not massively improved with all VG). I do have eye drops and a night time eye oil/paste which I can go back to using, but I have noticed the change because it was something I was aware of before vaping (it had improved a lot).
I also use the PC a lot and Im sure the 2 things don't sit well together because they BOTH encourage eye dryness, and short sighted (even EX short sighted people like myself) tend to blink LESS than their 20/20 cousins. Eye drops should help, during the day, and you shouldn't rub your eyes, that makes it worse (my eye doctor wagging a finger! )
Not sure what I can do about the mouth dryness at night - maybe Ill try inahling steam like someone suggested on another thread, before bedtime.
my eyes don't really get red. They itch and water some. If they are red, it is from me rubbing them. I think the vapor irritates them, but I don't care. I vape away happily.
I just got some Vg from Wordupecig.com today and I must say wow no red eye tonight with heater on. N tasty. Been hitting my 510 like a mad woman since it showed. No red eye, loves it! N less juice in my mouth to err. I am gonna get rid of all my PG and only going VG now. Tastes better n more vapor as well. Loving it!
This is an interesting thread, i thought it was just me, but I have been vaping for about 2 months, and my wife (who doesn't smoke or vape) has been complaining about red, burning eyes. I have also gotten red eyes and I have to take my contacts out early at night time. I'm using mostly VG juice. It could just be from the really dry air in the house, but I do have a de-humidifier. I guess I'll have to experiment and just vap in the car and at work to see if it helps out.
Hmmm... my eyes seem to be affected by vaping too... redness and slight burning. I quit vaping for a few days last week and my eyes cleared up, vaping again now and it's back.
