Well, after DIYing for several months, I have to say that I still love mixing most of my flavors with Red Hots. However, as most of you will probably sympathize with.. Nothing quite tops the overall nastiness of working with anything with Cinnamaldehyde in it. It melts or cracks all but the toughest plastics, making it impossible to use with anything but glass DCT tanks, even at low percentages. It corrodes any and all heating coils: cartos of all varieties, atomizer coils, CE2 coils ESPECIALLY, I've watched it turn a brand new Vision Grande coil into a rusty metallic blob in hours.
I've posted and read quite about it, and the one thing I have seen that gave me hope is the occasional mention of PG only Redhots mixes being safer. I finally tried it a few days ago and.. It is true. I don't know why, I don't know how, but.. No coil damage. Tested in cartos and CE2s over 3 days and had zero corrosion. Not sure about the plastics, but I am not super concerned about that at the moment. Problem is.. I have never tried 100% PG mixes before, I always go between 40% and 20% vg. Now that I have.. Yuck. I hate it. Nasty. In order to vape it, I have to vape two ecigs at once and lightly tap on the power just enough to give the other flavor (which is my standard 60pg 40vg blend) the cinnamon kick I love. What can I do?
edit: On that topic, does anyone know if the Boge Revolution uses LDPE bottles? I finally bought one to dip my feet into bottom feeders after trying to deal with dripping multiple times and remaining just as annoyed with the dicking around.
