I'm going to finally get my long awaited ProVari for Christmas. I'm still very undecided about which color I am going to get. I want to decide fairly soon because I also want to get a tank from IBTanked that will look nice with my new little darling. I have seen a few pictures here of the red PV and in some pictures it looks almost like an orange color and others a medium red and yet others almost look like a fire engine red. The lighting on the pictures vary so much that I can't tell what red it really is. I went to a local B&M to look but of course they had no red ones. Can anyone here help a woman out on her quest? Thanks!

It's not all that easy to do for the uninitiated.

I'm not talking getting it spot on, but the number of people who think it's completely fine right out of the box & never adjust it. I'll agree though, if you're looking for true color, it can take a bit of finagling. Most of mine I try to get it spot on, but sometimes a few quick adjustments to get me close enough is fine.

I always make it worse.

I keep meaning to get the proper gadget but damned if I ever remember when I'm shopping.

Here is another pic when I bought the red mini a few months back, hope it helps.

Thanks to everyone that replied! I think the best way for me to judge is by the picture with the batteries next to it! I do like that. Hmmm, since I can't decide I think I'll have no choice but to get two. One will be from my daughters and I'll let my husband know that he's getting one for me too. That way I can get one red one and then maybe a mini one in white. Or blue. The black is nice. Then again the polished stainless is attractive. Well crap.

I was just about to say that my cherry red is a couple shades darker than an AW battery. It's an attractive red... I put up a pic, and it did look international orange, but that was from the camera flash.

The red swirl paint that IBTanked uses to paint the tanks is a close match, but the red anodized caps are way off.

For the caps, I would go with black, stainless steel, or the clear anodized... Unless you want something completely contrasting, which may look cool too.

Someone around here has a pic of a red ProVari with a black loki ring, and an IBTanked with the bold red/black swirls. It looks pretty sharp

I just bought a gorgeous cherry red Tyler Rodan purse for my friend for Christmas. When it arrived I loved it so much I wanted to buy myself one but decided to get a different style. The color was just that GORGEOUS red.

If the ProVari couldn't match that color I would be completely disappointed.....lol

Therefore, I will only buy metallic or black ProVaris from here on out and wrap them if I need to. The pink one I own I got used and I have yet to actually SEE the pink part because the seller wrapped it in a wonderful Alice and Wonderland wrap. It has blue LED, though, so I've been using it almost exclusively since I got it.

And none of this has anything to do with the topic except for the fact that the cherry red colored Tyler Rodan purses are the perfect red....LOL

Thanks for the compliment, you are correct on the caps, had the red ones but switched them for the black ones!!
This older pic shows red

This mini has a clear jwrap on it so it tends to be a little glossier in the pics!!
