Here's my entry #3 for lovers of wood mods. This is designed for 5"x8". I figured it could be marketed cooperatively by the 3 most popular wood mods on the market. This one I put a sticker in the bottom of the juice.misc. area. If a sealer were applied, it would be safe from juice. Or a simple "Made by Redskymods.com". There would be a dedicated market for a caddy like this because so many of us are collected these beautiful wood mods.

**Perhaps the places for the mods could be a universal size, so that all 3 mods would fit in any of the holes.

This is kind of a variation of my first one. 8" x 5" isn't a ton of room to work with. So I'm going with a Cutlass, a Wench, 4 30ml bottles and 4 15ml bottles. The two triangles at the top would have RSM on the left side, with the Jolly Roger on the right.
(The piece of wood is 8"x5"x1". So it should be doable. :))

Ok... so I told myself (and pchela) that I wasn't going to enter... since I already have an RSM and coveted Voltage Display that I have won in previous contests... and now I see that I am WAY out of my league here...

But I woke up in the middle of the night and had an idea to make a cat shaped one... LOL!!
And that evolved into this:

Caddy-1.jpg

I noticed that somebody else already had a similar idea, and this very crude drawing was done by the flickering light of the TV set and my desk lamp... I would leave any of the dimensions up to the Capt', of course... thumb_pirate_wheel.jpg Arrrrrr!!

Just some questions so I can get this done up propper for ye's:

Diameter of the cannons (squonkin bottle)?
Dimensions of the largest RSM that needs to fit?
you mentioned a depth using 3/4 lumber, is multilayer or an attached backplate allowed?
should this be cut from one sheet?

I don't want to get too specific but don't want to design something you wouldn't find feasable

Hi Masterofdampf, Maybe I can help you out with some of your questions.

The specs for the cutlass are (H) 4.3" x (W)2.5" x 1" (with slight variances), I believe cappy said the wench is about a 1/2 narrower width wise. The cutlass uses a 6ml bottle feed system. I also read that a multilayer could be achieved by gluing pieces together after they were bored out. Don't know about a back plate... :) Hope that helps you get started.

By betty54 at 2011-10-20 when you open the secret compartment it has a slide out drawer that can hold bottles batteries and any misc. stuff you may have. not real good at this as you can tell but you get where i am going with it. a pirate ship with a secret hull and the mods on top of the deck. thanks for letting us get some ideas out! i went back an read posts and did see pamdane suggest a ship. (sry wasnt tryin to copy) i guess great minds think alike (lol)

Idea #2 Based on this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?VISuperSize&item=230678910418

I'd like it to be an island with a palm tree and treasure chest. Chest can be open with space for paper clips, cartos, watever.

On the water section, cut out for mods on one side, to use as a back drop. On the island, holes for various juices and supplies, tube mod holes...

I think one block of wood for the base, water colored. On top, an oval block irregular shape of island sloped to meed the water. Maybe inlaid fake jewels near the treasure chest..... This could be part of the ship desk caddy set.

Idea #3. No picture, but you'll get the idea. Its a theme on my other 2 ideas. A treasure map. Start where ever you like. Make cut outs for mods, inside the Cutlass hole, etch the "X" for marking the spot, its the biggest treasure. Show the island from idea #2 and dots leading from each hole to the other, as if following land marks, only it will be vaping gear :) Wood burning would look really cool on a distressed type of wood. If you put a Wench at another corner, have the RSM ship etched in that hole, maybe as the starting point?

Each of my submissions can stand on its own merit, but it would be a nice desk theme as well. I certainly have more gear on my desk than one caddy will hold...
