refilable cartomisers?

hi there, my other half really likes the size of the cigarette type ecigs but not the price (especially when she sees me filling my tank for next to nothing!) anyway she uses skycig.co.uk batteries, can anyone recomend a product from E-Liquid - E Liquid UK - E Cig Liquid that will be refillable and work? think its a 510 connector.

thanks so much in advance! :0)

Sky Cigs are 510 threading BUT you have to be careful about the ohms of the carto/ clearo/ tank because they are low mah...Battery Info...100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge is needed. The lowest you should go is around 2.5 ohms otherwise the battery could be damaged. Regular cartos hold 1.0 ml juice. She could buy XL (1.8 ml) or XXL cartos that hold more juice but realize they will be longer
Sky Cig
Battery MAH - 180 - 200
Battery voltage - 3.7v

eek good to know, i guess i should get the 2's out and stop using the 1.5-1.8's on my pen sized stealther then o_O

** wait, where in that post does it say why it would potentially damage the battery? all i see is that it drains it faster, which is what i had assumed was the only drawback, my 1.8 ohm cartos only use a max (might be avg.) current of 2.04 amps and my cig-alike stealth batts are rated for 2.5a :[[[ im sorry if im completely wrong i only use my cig-alikes for stealth vaping and when absolutely necessary so long term usage isnt there so i would not see the damage or the likelihood of me experiencing damage is nil

I remember the Vets talking about potential damage to the batteries. It's prolly ok to use 2.0 ohms but always good to know about the potential for damage. Last thing I want to see is someone damage their batts and be without.

oh no doubt man, thats why i skimmed through the post i do not in any way want to give out any info that could

1 - lead to damage to a user's equipment.
2 - lead to damage to a user's safety or health.

most people on ECF are pretty disinterested in giving out bunk information so i take the correction as a good thing trust me man. also i guess just because my batts are rated for a certain amperage it doesnt mean every ones batts are the same so 2.0 ohm would do just fine i would think, still almost 6 watts and on a fresh charge up to a little over 6 watts

Agree completely. It's the same as the warning about leaving batts charging unattended. Not safe but the chances of a disaster quite slim- wouldn't you know it though my batt almost overheated/ exploded on the charger. Unfortunately many new vapers that have the 510 don't have any backups and "usually" the reason they bought a 510 kit was because of finances and can ill afford to buy another kit. Appreciate the info on your good experience with 510 and LR

that's one thing i have always done to the safest protocols, at any given time i may have about 8-12 batteries charging at once, my wife will have 4-6 charging and if i have to top up all my batts (this will sound stupid i know) i put them in the sink in the bathroom or the oven. i know most of my batteries are "safe" chem but even an IMR can fail and it is scary to think it could be on the carpet near the same wall that is shared between my room and my 2 year old daughter's room.

and i appreciate you calling me on something and not being a deusche about it, it was generally something i was not aware of and you cited the source, gave me the low down, and now (as with most anything we all learn from the vaping community) I can pay it forward.

vape on brother!

The Vaping Power Chart that keeps drifting around ECF (for instance, see this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/384191-what-difference-ohms-mean.html ) indicates that at 2 ohms, you'll get a "little cool, vapor production is lessened" from 3 to 4 volts, with watts ranging from 4.5 at 3 volts to 8 watts at 4 volts.

Now, my multimeter doesn't have a current calibration sticker on it, but it measures one of my stick batteries at 3.82 volts, putting it at the higher end of this "cool" range.

With any battery, if you try to draw current significantly faster than it's designed for, you do risk overheating and damaging the battery. Hence all the cautions about too low a resistance and the fact that higher end batteries will automatically turn off if they see a "short", i.e. a resistance below their safe level.

If you've been using 1.8 and haven't noticed the battery getting hot, you're probably ok.

those charts ugggg i did the calculation with the actual equation based on 3.7v and 4v with literally a pen and paper because my cell phone is dead :[

and like i said my battery is rated at 2.5a but again like i said i think there are many cig-alike batts rated much lower, like 1a -1.5a switches

which is why without even reading the post i knew vapoor could have been correct, reading the posts just gave a little affirmation

to refill a artomizer you would take the white top off --use the end of a paperclip. Then you add about 15-20 dropsw of e-juice. Just enuf so that the cotton filter is slushy. Re cap it with the white top. Wait about a minute so that the fiber gets wet enuf and then use it just like you would with the original cartomizer. Hope that helps.
