Refilled Carts not working well

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong, but lately it seems whenever I refill, the carts do not work well at all...

I use the condom method with the spin. Sometimes I will try to refill, and as soon as I start filling, the liquid comes out the battery end as if it is totally full, but I get no vapor or flavor at all. Or if it does take some liquid, like 15 drops or so, I only get a few hits off of it before it seems empty again.

Any suggestions? I would love to be able to buy tons of cartomizers and not deal with refilling, but like most cannot afford to indulge myself with everything I would love to get from V4L. Thanks in advance...

sounds like you have a bad cart that isnt heating correctly. I have had those too.
how many have you tried?

have these been washed? After a number of uses they need to be cleaned or they won't fill well at all.

Yep, I agree with jd... I boil mine out when they stop performing well. I drop them into a baby food jar. When its full, I boil them 2 x for 15 mins, blow out the excess water and let them dry. most of them come back to life as if brand new. A few dont, but I save a lot of $ by washing and refilling. Im actually boiling cartos right now!

The other thing is you really need to refill them very very very slowly. If you just push the cart into the juice the batting will not soak up the liquid and it will just come out the battery end.

are you putting a .... plug in the battery end? that should keep the liquid from comming out and give it a chance to get out in the batting.

I actually found my new favorite way to refill this way. Normally I stand and slowly work the cart into the cap, but one day I was refilling when the phone rang. I stopped halfway through filling one, sat it on the counter and answered the phone, then got distracted with something else. When I spotted the cart sitting on the counter about an hour later, I went back and finished refilling it. It took a little more juice than normal and both the flavor and TH were better than ever. I'm guessing that just letting it stand in the juice for awhile really gave the batting time to soak it up. Now I purposely sink them halfway and leave them to sit for a couple of hours. If the cap is a little loose they will even finish refilling themselves sometimes.

Terrie-you can just throw the whole thing in boiling water? How long does it take to dry? And how long do you boil them?

Because with the condom (or cap) refill method you need airflow through the opposite end.

Kathy I just take the white caps off and throw them in a pot. I boil them for 15 mins 2x.
