I am using Blu (and like it) but I think I want to do some refilling of the cartos. I've found lots of advice on how to do that but I have a question. How many times can a Blu carto be refilled before it is used up? I bought Premium 100 starter kit and I wonder if there are empty/blank cartos that will safely fit it. I'm concerned that putting a new juice into one of their flavors might not mix well.

I believe Blu uses 510 threading (someone correct me if I am wrong) as I tried small V-nano clearomizer on it and it worked ok (a coworker at work had an older blu that he did not have an atomizer or cartridge for and wanted to know if the battery was still good - the tip did light but went out after 2 seconds)

as far as the cartos are concerned the average performance I got was topping it off (additional 5-10 drops of liquid every 2-3 hours based on vaping frequency - I keep multiple cartos full and ready to go when I am out and about) was about 30 times before it had really reduced efficiency - it did start degrading at about 20-22 but I was still getting it to work.

I did discover once you run a carto so dry it tastes burnt and or plasticy (real word???) you need to just throw it away (or take it apart to for curiosity's sake)

I do like the little vision V-nano as it fits on the cig-alikes without looking bulky and you can see your juice level, easy to fill, wickless (bottom atomizer), holds about 1 ml, inexpensive (about $4 ea)

here is where I got mine

Vision EGO/510 Nano Clearomizers - $4.00 : Rocky Mountain Vapor, The Mountain top of Electronic Cigarettes

Here is good guide to look at also

It depends on the juice as far as carto life. Thick, dark and sweet juices will kill a carto in a few days. Not keeping the carto moist will kill it in a few days. Some cartos last for days into weeks, others last just a day. Quality control not being the highest on carto's.

Suggest you do NOT mix flavors in a carto. You just can't get the old flavor out of the carto.

Yes, many factors contribute to the life of a carto: who made it, when it was made, the resistance of the carto, the juices used, how lightly or heavily you vape, the device used, etc. I've had cartos last a day and some have lasted up to three weeks. There's essentially no rhyme or reason to it; however, thick juices will contribute to a shorter life.

I can refill cartos 10-20 times before they need cleaning...and it's best to use the same or similar juice. I use them until they just don't draw right or taste gunky.

I have about 100 cartos between my wife and I...and we have a baggie where we put cartos that need cleaning. Every couple of months, I will have 50 or so that need cleaning. This works well for me, takes about 30 minutes, and I have only tossed 2 or 3 cartos in 8 months.

1. Remove end piece and soak cartos in everclear or vodka overnight.
2. Rinse in strainer with very hot tap water.
3. Boil for about 5 min.
4. Rinse with hot tap water and repeat boiling.
5. Rinse and repeat 3 or 4 times until water is clear and oderless.
6. Bake at 175-200 degrees on cookie tray for approx 1 hour.
7. Turn off oven and allow cartos to cool in the oven.
8. I let them continue to dry for several days...but I have enough cartos to do this.

I vape a light colored, heavy PG lite VG (85/15) menthol juice and generally can get between 20ml. to 40ml. juice through a carto before the flavor is so drastically altered it's not pleasant (gunk) or it starts tasting like it's going to burn any minute (hot, spitty). Some cartos last better than others. Mostly I've had good results with Boge, Smoketech and Ikenvape.
