Refilling cartomizer vs. the original filled cartomizer

I've noticed that when I re-fill my used but pre-filled cartomizer that the e-juice doesn't produce close to the the same amount(less) of vapor and no sizzle sound. Is this to be expected?
I'm using a GreenSmoke e9 battery. Am I not filling it enough?Maybe the e- liquid I'm refiiling it with?

i have had the same problem that you are mentioning. I always seem to overfill my "pre-filled" carts because they seem to not be producing as much vapor.

This use to happen to me a lot and i've come to the conclusion that when this happens your probably overfilling, after you vape for some time do you start getting more vapor??

I might be"jumping the gun" on refilling and not waiting long enough before I add new juice. I add maybe 5-10 drops and I've tried refilling a few different ways. The how to vids usually say 15-18 drops.
I guess like they say, it's a learning curve. I'm just hoping to get that sizzle and a huge hit from a new e-juice re-fill. I haven't tried the needle/syringe method of refilling,but that just seems like too much work. I get slightly better vapor as I go, but never nearly the amount of the pre-fill. Also maybe cartomizers vary. Some just seem to produce more?

Let cartos site for several hours at least (24-48 optimally) OR if you must vape right away do a Taryn Spin which will distribute the juice more evenly.

YMMV but this has always worked for me.

I watched both vids by Leaford and I'll try incorporating both techniques.

No, that method is good for any cartomizer. I think I read the new 510s can be done that way as well.

Yes, you can do it with the 510 cartomizers also.

Yep. A Leaford Lanyard™ from Vapor4life.com. Sad to say I scotch taped mine to a flashlight on a rope. But hey,it worked and nobody was hurt.

I snatched a thinning sock from my wife's rag box and use it to do the Taryn spin. It works. It ain't pretty like a Leaford Lanyard, but it works. The bonus is that it also soaks up any extraneous fluid that leaks out.

For some reason,the Vanilla and Menthol cartomizers work great from the get-go. The Strawberry pre-filled ones seem a bit skiddish. Right now I'm having a difficult time finding empty KR808D-2 cartomizers. I'm thinking I might try Vapure.com. Are these the same as E9's?
LeCig seems to be out.
