I can never get my cartos to work the same when I refill them. I'v tried 6 drops, 8 drops, all the way up to 16 and no matter what they always either leak, have a burnt taste or hit like it wasn't even filled. When I fill em up I remove the top rubber cap and drip the liquid in around the sides with the carto tilted and I rotate it every drop. Then I let them sit over night. Any help is appreciated. Thank you guys!

Just want to make sure you punctured the seal in the carto first before trying to refill! Sorry, but sometimes we tend to overlook the obvious!

punctured the seal?

What model e-cig are you using? I have the Joye 510 and Joye eGo! I can't seem to locate the right video for you, but when I refill the cartos, I remove the mouthpiece cover (I use a bent paperclip), and also remove the piece under that. If you look inside the carto after removing both pieces, you will see a round hole. On this round hole is a thin seal/film that must be pierced first so the juice can get inside the tank! Through this hole, once pierced, is where I stick the blunt needle syringe to refill!

If I find the good video I'm thinking of, I'll let you know...but in the meantime, you can search youtube...there are many good videos that teach how to refill cartos using a syringe! You can also slow drip into this hole...the hole leads to the tank which holds the juice!

Having tried all other methods extensively (and they all work if done properly) Taryn spin still gets my vote. I've got it down to perfection. (See my other post this morning in the tips thread.) My daughter disagrees, I think on the grounds that it looks ridiculous to be spinning cartos in lanyards, and has perfected the condom method. We both produce beautiful, juicy, well-packed cartos. Patience, glasshoppahs, you will find your way.

i hear ya! i was so psyched when i found out you could REFILL your carts and save boo-koo cash, I was all ready to mix my own and begin the home brew process, but the reality left me a bit disillusioned. I was getting leaks, mouthfuls, and lousy taste in general. Keep at it. Not all juices are created equal! Its an art, not a science.

My take? Try a syringe! Look for my post about "Finally got the refill right."

I get the carto and put the plug back in and a condom on the battery joining end...then I fill it to the top and wait for it to absorb...and then do it again. Once I do that I get a rubber glove and put the carto in it with the condom end facing down (important) in one of the fingers of the glove and then squeeze all of the air out of the glove and spin the life out of it over my head. I look like I am at a rodeo but hey it works and when I take the carto out it is completely absorbed and white. I do this method a few more times and make sure it is filled. Each person develops their own take on the "taryn spin" but it seems to work the best. I was thinking of tying the rubber glove with a string to the ceiling fan on full blast to see how it works for .....s and giggles.
