Refilling MaxxFusion Cartos don't last as long as original

I noticed my refills of my cartos (filled as high as I dare about 20 drips) only last about 1/2 the day compared to the original.
Has anyone else seen this?

When I refill cartos I give them as much as they will hold. I either use the 'Condom cap refill method' or I drip in them until I can see that the polyfill is saturated. That always works for me. Just make sure after you fill this way that you blow any excess juice out of the carto before putting it back on the battery.

20 drips usually gets it so filled I am worried about it spilling over the edge down on the wick. what is the condom cap refill method?
