I am a ecig newb but I am a hard core DIYer of any genre. I have only had my MaxxFusion ac couple of weeks and already want to start making the e-liquid myself. I already have a DIY kit and a bunch of PG VG some 36mg/ml nic juice, some 100mg/ml nic juice and many falvors. Anyway I love this site and will get to my question.

First question: I bought some flavored cartos from Bloogplanet for the MaxxFusion. Cane these be refilled when they are empty or must I buy blanks to fill with my own home-brew :)

2nd question. If I can refill the Cartos how many ml does it take to fill them?

Thanks

Dunno - I use Vapor4Life cartos on my KR8 which are soft caps. With yours, does the mouth-end cap come out easily if you stick an unbent paper clip in the mouth hole just as far as needed and pop it out? If yes, then see if there is a donut-shaped inner seal over the stuffing. V4L's do not have that but some brands do. If there is one, carefully pop it out.

With the carto off the battery hold it at an angle and I hold some tissue on the threaded end hole (or you could use the hole-plug and bottom carto if yours come with those). Hold at an angle and drip juice into the stuffing. When done, clean up the threaded end. I puff into the threaded end with the open end tilted down to clear juice from the center air channel. Then I use a folded tip of a tissue to clean up any juice above the stuffing that won't soak in. Put back together and vape.

If your cartos have hard cap or glued on caps then you may need to use the carto condom method to push juice in. If so, let a Bloog owner explain it to you since I don't know what inner seals Bloog cartos might have.

BTW - if you ran the carto dry and singed the stuffing, that taste will probably stay.

Bloog MaxxFusion cartos have a easily removable soft cap with nothing in between the cap and the fill material, e.g. there's no inner seals to mess with. I fill from the mouth end, but I guess they can be filled using the condom method. Dormouse's instructions pretty much sums up how to fill them. I believe they take about 1 ml of juice to fill (1.2 maybe?). VG takes a little longer to get absorbed into the filler material. I usually let them sit at least an hour after filling so the juice gets more evenly distributed. BTW, the Bloogs don't seem to burn the filler as much as other brands. If you're using an automatic battery versus one with a manual button, definitely make sure that there's no juice in the center channel. Getting juice into an automatic battery will eventually render the battery inoperative (I've killed 3 batteries this way). Before I start vaping a newly filled carto, I always lightly blow into the mouth end to make sure no juice will end up in the battery.

Thanks for the input. It was useful I was able to take the silicone cap out drip some simple home brew in!
