Refilling old bottles

Hey guys I'm just looking for a little feedback on whether or not refilling old bottles is a good idea.

I order bigger 30ml bottles of juice and then pour some into older, smaller 5ml bottles for portability and I'm wondering if this is a bad idea for sanitation purposes. I usually just clean out the bottles with water and let them air dry. Do you think mold and bacteria could become an issue with this?

Hot water rinse of old bottles let them dry, refill, it's what I do.

I don't think so, because I do the same thing and haven't noticed any problems.

I do the exact same, well.. not exact I use 3ml bottles. But yeah. Thats what I carry in my case all day. Shouldn't be an issue.

I wouldn't recommend re-using bottles, but if you insist maybe you can try to let them soak in a bleach bath with hot water. That way you can sleep @ night. Also, this will help to take out the old flavor extract residues. Just a random idea?

I wouldn't reuse them, they are cheap enough atm to buy. You could also check into getting glass ones.

Strong flavors will linger in the plastic and leach into the new juice if you use a different flavor. Other than that, a proper rinse and your good to go.

Edit: The PET (clear plastic) bottles are much more resistant to the strong flavors than the LDPE (white/foggy plastic) bottles. Glass, as T-Mac mentioned, would be best.

I always reuse old bottles....warm soapy water does it. Never had a problem, ever. I make my own juice, and would HATE to have to buy all new bottles. I've reused bottles 20 and 30 times. I just keep refilling them with new juices.

If your 'buds' can detect residual flavs in cleaned plastic bottles after mixing or adding a new flav, what da Hades are ya doin' in this thread? Ya outta be THE Supreme Flav Chief and/or a Morel sniffer!!!

I prefer glass bottles because there is no leaching, I soak them in PGA to clean.

I only use glass bottles now, so when they're empty, just a quick swish with a couple drops of soap and some hot water and they're good to go for the next fill.

Absolutely not. In fact, it is impossible.

I'm surprised no one said it: Both VG and PG are anti-microbial, anti-bacterial, and anti-fungal. In fact, PG is used in air filtration systems in children's hospitals and pediatric wards all over the world.

We're supposed to wash them out?? I only reuse with the same flavor, so it's not an issue and I don't wash them out. *paranoid* Although, I was doing a refill recently with Mad Vapes Very Berry Tobacco. I have a 30ml bottle of it, and I also have a 30ml bottle of Grandpa's Mix. Well..I was refilling my VBT bottle with GM...oops! Noticed it half way through, so I figured I shouldn't put the GM back in the bottle since it might have gotten some flavor from what might have been left in the VBT bottle, and I just mixed in some VBT with it. Lets say it's very nice, and I'm on my 2nd mixed bottle.
