Refilling the Kayfun 3.1 ?

I refilled my Kayfun 3.1 after I sucked it dry and am noticing muted flavor ... I've had it for a few weeks and when the tank dried down I've always replaced the cotton wick and then refilled. Most people here say they refill a few time before replacing their cotton .. I usually go through a tank of the kayfun in a day or so .. Has anyone else noticed this?

Also - I come from a kanger pro tank (versions 1 and 2) and the flavor, I've noticed, was way more noticeable with the protank .. the flavor using cotton wicks seems muted altogether .. I must say, with the kayfun, I've never gotten a dry hit, but its noticeably more muted .. Im wondering if it has to do with the mg of nic Im using .. I dropped to 12mg from 18mg. Ive always used 18mg in the protank, but the dude at the store sold me on the 12mg with the kayfun, because he said it just functioned better and I wouldn't need the 18mg. I like a nice throat hit and am not getting that with the kayfun as much as I did with the protank .. Im pretty sure it has to do with the mg of juice Im using .. I smoke retro plasma juice .. Its like tastes like the ecto cooler drink from back in the day .. remember slimer from the ghostbusters .. they had that drink ...

I do like the 12mg because Im a chain vapor and it would definitely make me naceous after awhile .. i can chain vape the 12mg and be completely fine .. i guess theirs just trade offs with the lower nic juice .. maybe an extra flavor shot would help ..

anyone else smoke an ecto cooler type juice that they would recommend?

Its hitting pretty good now, so maybe I just needed to let it settle for a bit ..

Could be a few things.

If you are constantly using the same juice it is plausible you got so accustomed to the flavor it began to taste like nothing.

Also could be the inside of your drip tip needs a good scrubbing (possibly the inner chimney assembly as well)

The dude at the store was probably right about the nic...
Its probably setup related. since you got the 3.1, you may try first to close the airflow a bit and see if u get an improvement....

DSmooch is right there. Before I got my wicking correct on my KFL+, I would get muted flavor due to it not wicking enough because of too much wicking. There is a fine line there, and you will know it when you get it. I run my airflow pretty much wide open now with 50-50 juice. You might have to close it a tad with heavier VG mixes. Good luck.

Ahhh try a vertical coil with degummed hemp fiber and you will forget about cotton! i dry burn and change the wicks once a week. Great Flavor and wicking!

It works great in my kayfun clone, russian 91, taifun gt. I dont need anything else now as i have found heaven!

Read about them here, although now they are talking about a new fiber called Ramie too but i havent tried that yet, i am too happy with what i have.
